I have enjoyed this story ever since I first read it on the newsgroup alt.sex.stories back in 2000 or 2001.  I have read it at least once a year since then on nifty.org.  So when I found Crystal's and discovered that she had a comment system I thought I would take advantage of it.

With every reading I think this story gets better and better.  I like how Tigger has fleshed out Jacqui and Laurie from Mike Allegrettos's story and added some characters of his own.  However, since this is an approved sequel I don't like that Tigger changed the transformation date from December to June.  I also don't like that Tigger aged Jacqui about two years, from age 15 to age 17.  I also don't the number of "British-isms" that crop up in the story, especially since the story is set in the United Sates.

But those are just minor quibbles and don't detract from an excellent story, which I have enjoyed reading many times.

Where can I find the prequeal? JRD has done the further adventures of Jacqui ans company,But I still can not find the earlier story, By the way, I saw the image of Jacqui on your scratching post. She looks like an Elf from The Tolkien Lord of The Rings Series. Very pretty,m but so exotic. JRD has fun turning just about every guy into a girl some time in the story. I guess he [she figures

Wow! Wow! I am almost breathless after finishing A Change of Direction.  I have read it before and I am sorry I did not comment then. The characterization is simply phenomenal. They all, especially Jacqui, seem more real and vibrant than many a person I meet on the street. You are sure this didn't really happen.  Yes, I know, of course, but you have no issue with willing suspension of disbelief. We believe, we believe, at least while reading. I loved the fact that Jacqui fought so long and that the conflict with Mom was not artificially smoothed over but faced head on in all its complexity and ferocity. Somehow the incest was OK and I do not know how that was possible.  That is in every other case an instant end to my reading that particular story. I wish I could explain that Tigger but I cannot. You are probably aware of the reasons though.  Love really did win and overcome all the hatred anger and revenge in every aspect of this story but not without loss and pain.

Thank you for a powerful, enchanting, and scintillating tale. Ya done yourself good Tiggs.

Hugs,

Kristi

From those stories that I've read so far Tigger relys on the character to be made over into a girl for a duration to come to terms with problems that they exibit in they're normal male mode.

These transformation being done by petti-coating have nothing to do with hormones and such and in so doing she stills gives the reader a great story to read.

Most of the authors bring different methods to the feminization of their character and within these stories Tigger has found a wonderful set of values that I've come to enjoy reading.

A author that shows the talents of this site and one that is sure to give all of those who read her stories something to remember.

Tigger,

The thing I like most about your stories is that your characters have a backbone.  They don't just sit there and spinelessly allow things to happen to them, particularly, being feminized.  The other thing I like is that they generally learn to love being feminine.  Even in your "Aunt Jane" stories (which I must say I am not generally into forced fem of that nature, but I like yours) Aunt Jane's victim usually confounds her in some way, ultimately becoming as Jane wants to make them on their terms.  Makes me feel a little sorry for Aunt Jane *giggle*.

You are indeed a talented and gifted writer.  My favorites from you are this one, of course, "A Change of Orders", and "A Wish The Heart Makes".  Somebody one told me in an e-mail, after I posted my first story, that I had the potential to be your, and a couple others, equal.  Had I been more familiar with your work at that time, only politeness would have kept me from laughing in the virtual face.  I am not worthy of such praise...maybe someday, but I doubt it.

Your greatest strength, IMHO, is that you go beyond the transgendered theme and build upon it with a deeper plot, not necessarily directly related to the transgendered nature of your hero(ine).  This allows your compositions to transcend mere wish fulfillment and entertain on a more profound level, so thing I strive to do, but as yet haven't managed.  The fact that all your writings I have read so far have included generous amounts of love and honor truly delights me, as I am a hopeless romantic.

I love your work and am honored that you share it with us.

*hugs*

Lisa

This is one of Tigger's few stories that I hadn't gotten around to earlier. I'm glad that I read it this time. I am in awe. Emmie

Tigger has proven to be one of the genre's most talented authors time and time again. The classic tale "Change Of Direction", will forever cement Tigger's reputation as one of the finest authors on the net. For all you people who don't like long stories, this is the one that will change your mind. Give it a chance and you will instantly be hooked. Good job Tigger, and thanks for writing!

Tigger's 'A Change of Direction' is the second part of a trilogy starting with the short story 'A Change of Pace' by Mike Allegretto and Caitlin B., and finishing with 'A Change of Power' by J R D.  Due to the cost of inkjet cartridges, I rarely ever print out a single story other than my own, much less, a lengthy trilogy, but these stories sit on my bookshelf along side published authors.  By 'published,' I mean people who get paid for their writing.

Seldom do I find the quality of storytelling that is to be found in this work.  Aside from the writing of our beloved hostess, Crystal, no other works have continued to revisit me as much as these.  It is with much confidence therefore, I recommend the reading of this material.  To Mike, Catlin, Tigger, and J D R, I commend your writing and storytelling skills in presenting this tale.

The importance of reader feedback cannot be overstated.   Authors rely on it to improve their future works, and it gives them the incentive to write more stories if they know that their hard work has been appreciated.  I am not saying that comments must all be lauditory.  Authors often appreciate honest, constructive criticism over simple remarks like 'Great story', although simple praise is appreciated also.  There is no limit on how much you can enter in the 'comments' box.   Sentences will automatically word wrap at the end of the line so please do not use your carriage return/enter key except at the end of your paragraphs.
