Writing the Book

by Jennifer White

As a young author, just starting out, it can be difficult. You want to be where there is a good scene, where people will come to recognize you. So you need to be in a big city like New York, where all the publishers are. But it is expensive! To save money, Gary and Warren shared an apartment together. Neither could afford their own, but with a roommate, it was possible to be in a safe enough neighborhood.

Both were aspiring writers, but still undiscovered. They were both quiet, and serious about their work. So they got along pretty well in general, although as with any roommates, the had different personalities, and would disagree on certain things. But they worked hard to write a book that would be a best seller.

Gary was looking for a theme for his next book. He was wandering around Chelsea, when he stumbled on the flea market. He looked at all the junk and treasures spread out on the tables.

Something caught his eye: it was a book with just blank pages that had been left open. It looked old, but the paper was nice and white. On a whim, he decided to buy it from the old lady running the table. He decided that it might be inspirational to write a book in pen, onto paper, instead of using the computer like he had been doing. Now all he needed was a central theme.

He left the flea market, and headed towards home. As he walked, he saw quite a sight: there were two men arguing on a street corner. The thing was that one of them was dressed up as a woman, with a wig and everything.

"You don't understand how hard it is to be me!" yelled the man in the dress. "I wish you were a woman!"

"That's right! I'm not like you, and never will be!" yelled the other.

Gary walked by, and shook his head. There were all sorts of people in the big city. But he also realized that it wasn't something you'd see *outside* of a place like New York. The seed of inspiration for his new novel started to grow in his head. He imagined that the two arguers shared a room together, and were having a falling out. He decided that their names were George and Walt.

He got home, and started writing in the book. He looked around and saw that Warren had left a mess in the kitchen again. He decided to use that as a plot line too.

"You never clean up around here" said George, in the book. He was sort of basing George on himself. So he would base Walt somewhat on Warren.

He had George and Walt get into an argument, where George ended up getting mad, and cursing at Walt.

"You're such a slob" said George in the book. "You never do any housework."

"That's women's work" huffed Walt in the book (okay, not quite the way Warren was in real life, but it was a work of fiction).

"Then I wish that you were a woman, if that's what it takes to make you do some housework around here!" said George.

"You don't understand how hard it is to be me!" said Walt in response.

Gary looked down at the opening chapter of his book. He liked it. This was going to be fun.

* * *

The next day Gary went into the second chapter. He decided that based on George's curse, he would have Walt begin to magically transform. But as a plot twist, George wouldn't notice because the changes were so subtle and slow. Then one day he's see that his room mate had indeed become a woman.

He started out by having Walt walk down the street, and go into a clothing store on impulse. Then for reasons he couldn't understand, Walt bought an outfit of women's clothes, and took them home. Walt was afraid to let George see them though, so he hid the clothes, and only wore them when George left him alone.

Gary read through the new chapter, and thought it was very good. It was starting to build tension and mystery, without revealing too much of what would happen next.

As he was nearing the end, making some notes in the margin, Warren walked through the door, his arms loaded with shopping bags.

"Hey" said Gary.

Warren had a funny look on his face. He hurriedly put the shopping bags in his room, then came back out before talking.

"Sorry, I had to...uh...write down a sentence I had thought of on the way home."

"I understand completely" said Gary, who had done some strange things to jot down something he had just thought of, and was afraid of forgetting. So it was for writers.

* * *

Gary was now sure that he had a great start to the book. Now it was time for Walt in the book to start his physical transformation. He wrote how Walt got up, took a shower, and discovered that all the hair on his chest fell out as he washed. And that wasn't all, Walt also noticed some swelling on his chest.

In the book, Walt ignored it, but was concerned about the hairs falling out. Walt decided it must be the soap or something, so he decided to ignore it.

After the chapter was done, Gary wanted to shower up himself, and go out for dinner with some friends. He had to wait for Warren, who was getting out of the shower himself.

When it was Gary's turn, he was disgusted with Warren, as usual. There was hair in the shower drain, causing it to back up a bit. Warren never did things like clean the shower drain after he was done. Gary gritted his teeth, and did the job himself.

* * *

Gary was angry with Warren, so he took his anger out on Walt in the story. Gary wrote in the next chapter, that Walt found the next day that his breasts had really started to grow, and that they would show if he wore a thin shirt, or a tight one. He also wrote that Walt's hips started to grow, while his waist shrank. He was starting to develop curves, but it was so subtle that even he didn't notice it.

"Hey, what's up?" said Gary as he closed up his book. Warren had just emerged from his room, where he had been writing with the door closed lately. He had always kept it open before.

"Not much" said Warren.

"Why are you wearing your fall shirt? It's still summer" said Gary, looking at Warren's long sleeved red and black checkered flannel shirt.

"I don't know, I guess I just felt like wearing it today" he replied.

"Okay, whatever" said Gary shaking his head. Thick warm shirts this time of year? What was up with that man?

* * *

For the next chapter of the book, Gary wrote it so that Walt woke up with an irresistible urge to go shopping. Walt went to a department store, and bought makeup, perfume, bras, panties, and another outfit. He wrote that Walt dashed to his room, feeling such a need to put on his new undergarments. And that from then on, he always wore panties and bras under his clothes.

Gary was cooking dinner when Warren got home. He had been shopping again. He took the bags to his room and shut the door.

"How about grocery shopping next time?" said Gary. "If you've got all this money to shop suddenly, we sure could use some more food around here."

"Yeah, sure" said Warren through the closed door.

Having been roommates for a year, they had seen each other in their underwear all the time. They had seen each other naked. Why was Warren suddenly so private about everything? He sure was acting strange. Maybe he was going through a mid-life crisis. Or maybe, he was just a crazy writer.

Gary turned his attention back to the chicken, and resumed his work in the kitchen.

* * *

Gary was feeling upset with Warren again, so he took it out on Walt in the book, since he was based on Warren. Gary wrote in the next chapter that Walt woke up, and found that his penis had shrunk to the size it used to be when he was six years old.

He wrote that it was very traumatic for Walt, who now realized what was happening: he was becoming a real woman. But he was too proud as a man, and swore to hide it from everyone.

Then as a parting shot, he had Walt's breasts also increasing in size to an A cup, with big prominent nipples. In the book, Walt used a sports bandage wrapped around his chest to hide his new boobs.

That night, Warren seemed upset for some reason, and refused to come out of his room.

"Suit yourself. I'm going out then" said Gary, shaking his head. Maybe he needed a new roommate. Warren was getting way too weird.

* * *

Since Warren was being such a recluse, and Walt in the book was based on him, Gary decided that in the next chapter, as Walt's transformation became so apparent that he'd no longer be able to hide it, that he would make Walt become very reclusive, not leaving his room when George was home.

And so he wrote in the book that Walt's breast were now b-cups, and very evident. He wrote that there was quite a curve to his hips, and between his legs, Walt's genitals were shrunken to the size of a newborn's, and they were starting to retract back up inside of him.

He wrote that Walt's face was starting to look pretty, his skin turning smooth and soft. Walt's shoulders were smaller, his arms thinner, his wrists and fingers fine and delicate.

In the book, Walt stayed in his room, dressed as a woman, not able to resist the siren song of femininity. However, Walt didn't want George to see him like that, so he only left the room when George went out.

He was proud of this chapter, with all of its descriptive language. He liked how he had taken a little bit of reality (with Warren being such a hermit lately), and had folded that back into the story line.

Satisfied, he put the book away for now, and read a magazine.

"Are you ever going to come out of there?" yelled Gary.

"Leave me alone" said Warren in a soft weak sounding voice.

"Whatever dude" said Gary, shaking his head again.

* * *

For the following chapter in the book, Gary wrote that Walt's changes were finalizing. His breasts sped past c-cup size, all the way to d. His genitals had fully retracted, and he looked like a woman between his legs. He had become completely female.

In the book he wrote that Walt explored his new sexuality, touching himself (herself?) on the bed, letting out soft moans as he discovered his clitoris. He wrote that the feeling was addicting for Walt, and that he craved sexual stimulation all the time.

Gary wanted Warren to read the book, to see the progress he had made. But Warren wasn't letting him into his room.

"Look buddy, I don't know what's going on with you, but I'm going to be gone all day today. I have a writer's conference, so I won't be home until at least eight tonight. Later if we go out to dinner."

No reply from Warren.

Gary left the apartment, shaking his head again.

* * *

As soon as Gary had locked the door and left, Warren hurried from his room. He had to use the rest room badly, but had needed to wait for Gary to get out of there.

Warren sat down to pee, and looked at his new body again in disbelief. It was hard to understand why he had been transforming into a woman over the past few days. It was done now, and he was fully female. Only his mind seemed to remain intact, although he had a constant craving for sex. He also loved to wear women's clothes, and to look pretty. But inside, he was still himself.

He went out to get some breakfast. He saw Gary's book laying on the table, and decided to read it. Gary had seemed all excited about it, and had asked him a couple of times to look it over.

He sat on the couch with his cup of coffee, and started to read.

The book wasn't bad, and Warren immediately recognized that it was based on Gary and himself. But then, as Walt in the book started to transform, Warren was suddenly overcome with shock. The things happening to Walt, were *exactly* what had happened to him! All this had started when Gary started on the book!

Gary was so organized that he even dated the pages as he wrote. Warren realized that as soon as it was written, it would effect him. It was all Gary's fault! Gary had done this to him, turning him into a woman! It was Gary who had given him such an irresistible urge to wear women's clothes, or to want to be pretty.

Warren was very unlike Gary. Whereas Gary was sloppy, Warren was messy. Where as Gary wrote slowly and meticulously, Warren wrote very quickly.

Warren picked up a pen, turned to the next blank page, and began writing furiously. His inner anger pushed him. His delicate emotional state from being transformed into a woman made him hate Gary even more than he would have thought possible.

When he was done writing, his hand hurt, and he was covered with sweat. He prayed that his writing in the book would have the same effects that Gary's had. He would know for sure very soon.

Gary walked in the door, all proud and full of himself after the writer's conference. He had been bragging about his new book, so he was eager to complete it, so he could send it to his editor. He looked over, and saw a woman reading his book.

"Who are you? How did you get in here?" he said, clearly upset at this intrusion.

"What's the matter Gary, don't you recognize your own roommate?" said the woman in her sultry voice.

"Where's Warren? What's going on?"

"*I* am Warren Gary. You should know. You did this to me."

"No I didn't! And you can't be Warren. You're a woman!"

"Gary, I *am* Warren. Or Walt if you prefer. You see, as you wrote your sick little story, everything you wrote about Walt happened to me. *You* did this to me, damn you! You even made me *like* it!"

The woman was hysterical. What she said could *not* be true, thought Gary.

"I see you don't believe me. Then ask me a question that only Warren would know. Come on, ask me anything."

"All right, if that's how you want to play it. Tell me *Warren*," he said sarcastically, "where does my Aunt Mary live?"

"First of all, you don't have an Aunt Mary. You're always babbling about your Aunt Marie, and how she is so much better of a cook than I am. I make a great meal, and you cut me down, telling me your aunt makes it better."

"Lucky guess" he said. "How about...a few months ago, where did I tell you that I wanted to go on vacation?"

"You said you wanted to go to Cuba, because of all the great writers that had been in Havana, and you wanted to try a real Cuban cigar, but it is illegal to go, but you might try anyway because great artists have to suffer."

"It is you Warren!" said Gary. There was no way that this woman would know these things unless she had been in on private conversations between himself and Warren.

But if this was true, then that book he had been writing in was magic! He could alter reality by just writing. Gary's mind filled with ideas. Write in the next chapter that George wins a lotto jackpot of 100 million dollars. And a Pulitzer prize. And is asked to move to Hollywood to write screen plays for famous actresses.

His dreaming and scheming was interrupted by Warren.

"I've done some writing of my own, Gary" said the woman. "Would you like to hear it?"

"Later, I have an idea, I..." started Gary, but he suddenly stopped for some reason, as Warren, the woman, began to read."

"George froze in place, unable to move" read Warren. "He could only stare at the beauty before him, mesmerized. He could only say the words: 'I want you', which he uttered out of deep passion."

"I want you" said Gary out loud.

He suddenly panicked. This woman was Warren. He didn't want her! No! Why did he say that? Then he realized it. Warren had written it in the book. So it came to pass. What else was Warren going to make him do?

"Then Walt felt himself get very aroused" read Warren. "He felt that if he did not make love to the voluptuous woman in front of him, that he would explode."

Inside, Gary felt such a longing and passion, that he really did feel like he was going to explode. Was Warren going to force him to make love?

"But then, something strange happened" read Warren. "As George stared at the woman who had been Walt, her face started to change. Its soft edges started to harden. Curves were straightening in her body. Muscles started to fill out. Her breasts were rapidly shrinking, until they were nonexistent. She grew taller, her hair shorter. In moments, she had transformed back into Walt, although he was more muscular, and in better shape that George had remembered."

As Warren read this, a transformation took place. He turned back into his former self. Gary was relieved. Warren was just restoring himself. That wasn't too bad.

"But there was one strange thing" read Warren out loud. "George looked upon Walt, who was changing back into men's clothes, and he had an interesting reaction: he still felt the same overwhelming desire for this muscular handsome man, as he had when Walt had been a woman. George licked his lips. He felt like he had to have him, or he would explode."

Now Gary was in a total panic. What Warren had just read was true. He did want the man he saw, and couldn't take his eyes off of his crotch. Gary felt himself very aroused. He had never felt like that about a man before. No! What in the world was Warren doing to him?

"Then George started to notice the changes. Changes happening to himself. As he had stared at Walt, his body had been slowly altered. But now, it was more and more noticeable. His skin looked softer. He started to develop curves. His breasts started to swell rapidly. And his male genitalia started to retract back inside him. But unlike Walt's slow transformation into womanhood, he could tell that his would only last minutes."

"No!" said Gary out loud, as he looked down and saw the breasts forming on his chest. He was getting shorter, and looked up to Warren, who seemed so powerful and so virile.

Warren returned to the book.

"George's chest swelled past C cups, to D, and then a half size above that. His genitals were fully retracted now, and he knew in his heart that he had a fully functional female reproductive system now. His inner need to have a baby was in full gear, and he wanted Walt now, more than ever."

Gary's eyes were wide open with terror as he realized that *he* was the one in a female body now. *He* was the one who *wanted* female things.

Warren didn't relent. He kept on reading.

"George was now completely female in body. But the changes weren't yet over. As he looked at Walt again, he felt the passion of love sweep over him. He was totally and completely in love with the man before him. His evolving feelings kept growing, stronger and stronger, until he realized something: he was a love slave to Walt. He would do *anything* that Walt told him, without question, without hesitation. He completely belonged to Walt now, and would *never* be free from his spell."

Gary looked at Walt with a mix of awe and terror. Terror as he realized that he was a love slave now to this man. And awe, because he looked up to Warren like a god. He hung on every word as Warren read on.

"George was a woman now, and Walt's complete slave. But he still wasn't done. Because next, something swept over him inside: femininity. His body had changed, but now so too did his soul. Male thoughts changed to female thoughts. Male urges and desires to female. George was completely feminized now, and could not even conceive of thinking of himself as a man again. *She* looked up to Walt with eyes of love."

Gary looked up to Warren, and *her* eyes were indeed filled with love. Now Warren read the last paragraph.

"George realized that she was a woman now. The name George held no meaning for her anymore. Instead, she knew that her name was Gloria. The die was cast, it was set in stone. George had completely transformed into Gloria, and would *never* be capable of going back. As Walt closed the book, its magic expired. No force in the universe would ever be able to restore things. But Gloria didn't care about that. She forgot completely about the book, forever. She only had two thoughts. One was how she could serve her master. And the other was her deepest desire to have as many babies for him as she could. She smiled, undressed, and stood by his side."

Gary realized that she was a woman, and the name Gary held no meaning for her. She realized that she was Gloria, not Gary. She wanted only to serve Warren, her master. And she wanted to have as many babies as she could for him.

Gloria undressed, and walked over to Warren's side. She was as beautiful as any Hollywood actress. She was sexy. And she was in heat.

"How can I serve you my master?" she said, looking up adoringly to Warren.

Warren smiled at her.

"Tonight, we will make love, after you clean the house top to bottom."

"Oh thank you my Lord!" she said, so grateful that he was going to allow her into his bed. She wanted his baby more than anything in the world. She would have to get to work right away cleaning, so she could server her master in bed.

"I love you" she said to him.

"Go to work now" said Warren firmly.

"Yes my Lord" she replied, in awe of his presence.
