Prologue

 

It was the early 21st centaury and there had taken place a complete role-reversal between men and women. This was because women did better at school and began to be seen as more intelligent and less aggressive than men. Men became less intelligent and therefore less able to carry out the type of tasks that were being required by employers, so women took those better-paid jobs. Also women started to look out for each other for example when a female supervisor was promoted to management level she would replace herself with another woman.

Women were now the dominant sex men were totally subjugated women had all the power only they could vote they had the positions within the government and big business.

Men stayed at home and looked after the children and the home they did the washing up the cooking, cleaning.

Men were allowed to have certain jobs such as nurses, sectary, shop assistant, and teachers. Even they were at the bottom level they could also work in the police, fire and military but only in the administration section.

Men had to wear skirts, shorts or dresses they were not allowed to were trousers. Women wore the trousers; it was a way of showing men who was the boss now.

Men were always expected to look their best and so they were kept on a strict diet and work out regime, this began at school.

When men got married they were no longer allowed to work unless they had the express permission of their wife. After they had children men were no longer allowed to go to work, but had to stay at home and look after the children. Until at least they were at school and even then they had to have their wives permission to go back to a part time job, if they want to?

An example of this new family is Julie and Michael Wallace. Julie works in the head office as a senior vice-president for Intercom it is now the largest supplier of computers in Europe and the third largest in the World. Michael is a househusband he looks after the couple's two children 15-year-old Paul and 11-year-old Jennifer. He used to work as an air stewardess for British Continental Airlines. That's where they meet on a flight to Rome.

 

 

Chapter One

 

 

Michael was dressed in his favourite royal blue swimsuit he was laying on the longer on the patio beside the pool also he was wearing a pair of sunglasses and his personal stereo listing to some show tunes. Opening his eyes he saw Julie standing over him. She bent down and kissed him "how was your day?" he said.

"Just the usual round of meetings and problems, I'm exhausted," she said.

"Sit down and I'll get you a drink," He said, he swung his legs off the longer and put his feet into a pair of flip-flops and went into the house. A few minutes later he came out of the house carrying two glasses he handed one to Julie who was now seated in the seat next to the lounger. He lay back down on the lounger "is that okay dear," he said.

"Its fine honey" she said. "Remember we have to go to the company's summer ball tonight" she said.

"I know, I've arranges everything for tonight I'll pick up Jennifer from school then later on tonight I'll drop her off at Emma's, Paul's going to stay at Gary's tonight. I'll pick' Jennifer-up after school tomorrow" Michael said.

"Have you chosen what you are going to wear tonight," Julie said.

"I thought I would wear that red column dress with the side slash" he said.

"You can't wear that, you wore that to the McAllister's party last month. I took the liberty of picking you out something for you to wear tonight, I laid it out on the bed upstairs if you want to go and try it on" she said.

"I'll go and try it on right away" he said, he slipped his feet off the lounger and into the flip-flops and went inside the house.

Going strait upstairs, he went into the bedroom. Michael found laying on the bed a gorgeous full-length royal blue halter neck evening dress, next to the dress on the bed were two different sized plastic bags, one contained a pair of matching stiletto heeled shoes, the other contained a matching clutch hand bag and a white lace one piece body shaper with detachable shoulder straps and suspenders, white silk stockings. Michael was about to put on the dress when he saw the clock on the bedside table he said to himself" I'd better go and pick up Jennifer from school". He put the dress down on the bed, put the swimsuit back on. Opened a drawer and pulled out a short blue/white sarong skirt put it on then pulled a pair of sandals from the wardrobe kicked off the flip flops and put on the sandals on. Michael ran down the stair picked up his car keys and went out and got into his Renault 306 and drove out of the drive way and into the street.

He arrived at the school gates just as the finishing bell goes off, he parks the car gets out and goes and waits with the other fathers. While he was waiting for Jennifer to come out, a couple of women walk past and give him a wolf whistle. He gave Jennifer a wave when he saw her come out, Jennifer waved back at him, he was talking to Charles how was Emma's father when the two girls came over.

"Okay I'll bring Jenny over at 5.30 to night" Michael said. Emma waved to them as she got into her car they waved back as they drove away. He opened the car door and Jennifer got in, he started the car and they drove home.

"How was your day?" he said.

"Okay I got my maths test results back and I was second in the class," Jennifer said.

"That's excellent Jennifer," he said, and then they pulled into the driveway of their house. Michael parked the car Jennifer jumps out and runs into the house, "don't run," Michael said but she ignored him.

Jennifer goes upstairs and into her bedroom and throws her school bag onto the ground and takes off her jacket and trousers and puts them on the bed. She picks up a white t-shirt and puts it on then she takes a pair of blue jeans out of the wardrobe and puts them on then she puts on a pair of trainers. She opens her wardrobe and hangs up her jacket and trousers, she takes out a jumper and pulls it on, she closes the wardrobe door and goes down the stairs and into the kitchen. She pulls open the fridge and takes out a can of coke, then she shuts the fridge door then she goes into the garden.

"Your father tells me that you were second in your class on a maths test" Julie said.

"That's right mum, I failed on just one question in the test," Jennifer said.

"Still it is a brilliant result and 1m sure you will be the best next time" Julie said.

Michael was in the kitchen preparing dinner, when Paul walked in from School, he was dressed in a red pleated gym skirt, white button front t-shirt, black ankle length socks and white sports shoes.

"I got caught late at games so I didn't have time to get changed and get the bus on time," he said. Michael opened the fridge door and gave a can of diet coke to Paul he took the can and went up to his bedroom. He took out his uniform from his bag and hung it up in his wardrobe then he came out of his bedroom and went down the stairs and out into the garden.

"How was your day son?" Julie asked.

"Okay mum, we had a test in secretarial, I came out in the top 4 of the class also I had to carry out a presentation in history," he said.

"Very good son" Julie said.

Michael came out of the kitchen and into the garden and said" dinners ready", they all followed him into the kitchen and through to the dinning room.

"Paul could you help me" Michael said.

"Sure dad," he said. He help to carry the food from the kitchen to the dinning room, then they sat down at the dining table.

After they had all eaten, Paul helps Michael to clean up the table. "Jennifer have you got everything for your stay at Emma's" Michael said,

"Yes dad" Jennifer said.

"Okay you have 10 minutes to get everything packed," Michael said "okay dad," she said as she ran up the stairs.

"Paul when are you going to Gary's," Michael said" about 6.30 dad" Paul said. "Get your stuff together and I'll drop you off after I get back from dropping of Jennifer" Michael said. Jennifer carne down the stairs carrying a bag, Michael picked up his car keys and a jacket, they went out to the car and drove away. After he dropped of Jennifer, he carne back and picked up Paul and took him to Gary's then he carne home. "When do we have to be at the party," Michael said "8.30," Julie said. "Okay I'll have a bath and get ready" Michael said. When Michael carne out of the bath, he sat down at his dressing table, he started to put on make up. Julie was also getting dressed, "Julie what shade of lipstick do you think, bright red or this lighter shade of red," Michael said showing her the two bottles of lipstick. "The lighter shade suit's you better" Julie said, he applied the lighter shade to his lips. Then Michael detached the shoulder straps from the body shaper, then attached the suspenders and put the body shaper on, then he put on the white silk stockings and smoothed them down so they were not sagging then he attached the stockings to the suspenders. He picked up the dress that had been laying on the bed and put it on he asked Julie to zip it up the back and fasten it at the neck, then he looked at himself in the full length mirror on the door of the wardrobe. "Blue suits you it sets off your eyes dutifully" Julie said, he then picked up the shoes and put them on and an ankle chain a pair of gold clip on earrings. "Julie could you put this necklace on " he said, " sure" Julie said as she fastened the necklace she kissed him on the neck. "What do you think of what I'm wearing tonight" Michael said, " you look fantastic tonight" she said" let's go" Julie said, Michael picked up a black wrap and then they went out to the car, which was Julies black B.M.W., and they drove to the party.

 

Chapter Two

 

Arriving at the party, they went in and meet Louise and Philip short. Louise and Julie work together. They are also great friends. Louise kisses Michael, and Julie kisses Philip. "Michael where did you get that dress" Philip said " I didn't Julie got it for me" Michael said. "Julie's always had a great sense of style," Philip said" and what suit's her husband" Louise said, at that they all smiled except Michael who just blushed" you look great yourself Philip" Julie said," Thanks Julie" Philip said. "I think we better go and get our table" Michael said, once they had found there table Louise said" Michael would you care to give me the pleaser of this dance" " I would love too" Michael said, giving Louise his hand and letting her lead him onto the dance floor, they took each other and started to waltz round the dace floor. "Do you see that young man standing next to Sharon" Louise said" what the one in the short black dress with sweetheart design and who is running his hands through his long blonde hair" Michael said. "Yes that's the one, he's Anne's mistress" Louise said," Where's Anne" Michael said" over there with her husband" Louise said. "His name is John and he Is Ann's personal secretary, Anne arranged for Sharon to take him to this party so they could get together latter" Louise said. The music faded and the dancers stopped and gave the band a round of applause, Louise and Michael went back to their table.

"Where did your husband learn to dance" Louise said, "His dancing skills were among the reasons that I married him," Julie said. "What do you want to drink" Julie asked, " I'll have a whisky" Louise said, " I'll have a white wine," Philip said," I'll have the same," Michael said.

Julie got the attention of one of the waiters and he came over and Julie gave him the order then he left to get the drinks. "While we were dancing Louise filled me in on the latest office gossip" Michael said" what gossip" Julie replied, I you know Anne and her Personal secretary having an affaire" Louise said. "When did you find this out?" Julie said" it's been going round the office for day's" Louise said" well I've never heard about it" Julie said. Then the waiter came over with the try of drinks when he had given them too the rightful person he smiled as he walked away. Just then Rosemary came over" Julie, Louise how are you liking the party" she said" not bad" Julie said, " are you here with Brian" Louise said. "Yes, he's over talking with Perry" Rosemary said" how" Louise said "You know Perry he's Ann's P.S." she said," I didn't know his name" Louise said. Rosemary pulled up a chair, " what did you two think of the deal we put together today" she said " If you 3 are going to talk shop then, Philip and I will go too the men's room and freshen up, if you don't mind" Michael said. Michael and Philip got up and walked off.

They went into the men's room and started to fix there make-up" don't you just hate it when they start talking shop when you are out at a social function" Michael said "Yes, doesn't it just boar you to tears" Philip said "I would have thought they got enough of that at work instead of bring it with them when they are out supposed to be enjoying themselves" Michael said.

Back out at the table the talk has turned from business to men. "Look at that one over there, he's from the typing pool" Louise said" which one" Rosemary said, "the, one in the short red halter neck dress" Louise said. "Are you sure he's from the typing pool, cause I've never seen him there" Julie said" he only joined a couple of weeks ago" Louise said. "I certainly wouldn't mind giving him one" Rosemary said, "look at all those gorgeous men here tonight, even the waiters look good, Louise said looking strait at a waiter. The waiters were dressed in a sleeveless shirt with a batwing collar, a green bow tie, a short black skirt, black thigh's and black high heels also they had a pair of cuffs on their wrists.

Michael and Philip returned to the table" what have you 3 been discussing and don't tell us it's been work, because we wont believe you" Philip said. "Nothing important for you to worry about" Louise said. "I'd better get back and see what my husband's been up too" Rosemary said. "Let's dance" Louise said and pulls Philip up onto the dance floor, Julie gets up and takes Michael by the arm and leads him onto the dance floor, they start to dance. The music fads and they stop and applauded the band and return to there table. "Isn't that Larry over there" Louise said, " where" Julie said. "Over there at the corner table, talking to Rachel" Louise said.

"Who is Larry" Philip said. "He's the new administrative assistant in the office," Louise said.

"Let's go and say hallo" Julie said" alright, if that's okay with you two" Louise said, looking strait at Philip, Michael and Philip looked at each other then said" it's okay by us" Louise and Julie got up from the table and walked over to Larry's table.

"Just look at him dressed in that short black dress showing all that flesh. Look at the way he flirts with all the women" Philip said. "I now, how many times have you gone into the office to see your wife, and the place is filled with airheads, and have you seen the length of there skirts and tops. Well I went in one day to see Julie and one of men in the office was wearing a skirt so sort, I wouldn't have used is as a headband. Have you ever heard them with there yes ms this and there absolutely ms, I'll get that for you right away ms. No wonder so many marriages break up" Michael said. Philip just nodded in agreement, "I don't want to even consider what goes on when they are away on business trips," Philip said.

Then Louise and Julie came back with Larry, "Larry I would like to introduce our other half's this is Philip my husband and that is Michael who is Julies husband" Louise said. They all shook hands, " It's a great pleasure to finally meet you, as your husbands have told me so much about you, I fell that I have known you for years" Larry said. "Thank you for your complement" Philip said, Michael just nodded his head in agreement, " won't you sit down Larry" Louise said," I would love too but I promised Rachel the next dance" Larry said and walked back too his own table.

The party started to wind down to it's finish, " I think it's about time we were heading home," Philip said, " us too" Michael said. "Okay" Louise said, Julie went and picked up the coats that we had brought. As they walked to the parking area to get there cars Philip said" Michael why don't we get together sometime during the week and do some shopping or something else". "That would be great do you have our phone number" Michael said" so I'll give you a call" Philip said, then they got into there cars and drove home.

When they arrived home, Julie said" there's no kids at home and it's still quite early, so lets playa game". "What do you want to play boss and secretary, schoolboy and teacher, policewomen and prostitute, French maid and his employer or doctors and nurses? I know it's doctors and nurses" he said Julie nodded in agreement and smiled Michael went up the stairs and into the bedroom and opened one of the wardrobes and pulls out a white nurses uniform, a blue belt and a hat. He puts them on the bed and takes off his dress, shoes and jewellery, and puts on the uniform, belt and hat then takes a pair of white high-heeled shoes out of the wardrobe and puts them on. Then he goes back down stairs and stands outside of Julie's office area, he nocks and Julie say's enter so he does. Julie is dressed in a white doctors coat, " you wanted to see me Dr Cross you said it was urgent," Michael said.

"Yes nurse Wallace, as your supervising doctor I have been receiving discouraging reports about your behaviour recently and with your history of bad behaviour I will have no choice but to recommend your dismissal to the review board" Julie said. "No you can't do that," Michael said "yes I can and I will" Julie said is there anything I can do to persuade you from that course of action" Michael said. "Yes there is if you really want to stop me from doing so" Julie said and as she said it she moved closer to Michael and put her hand on his thigh and gave him a kiss. He tried to fight her off but she was too powerfully for him, she picked him up and carried him up the stairs and into their bedroom and threw him onto the bed. They started to kiss, Julie took off his uniform and throw it onto the floor as they took each other's cloths off Julie kissed Michael on the neck and started to bite his ear, the cloths ended up as a pile on the floor. She ran her fingers over every inch of his body Michael was kissing her and running his hands up and down her back and through her hair. They both climaxed together and lay on the bed eghsuted, they took each other in their arms and held each other as they fell asleep smiling.

Michael he kissed her and handed her a cup of coffee waked Julie up. "Good night" he said and smiled to her as he went out of the room. Julie got up and got dressed and went down stairs, Michael gave her the mail and said "your breakfasts on the table".

"What will you be doing today," Michael asked.

"I'll just get on with some work that I brought home with me" she replied.

"What about you"

"Firstly I will go up and get changed then go for the shopping, then I'll have to go and pick Jennifer up" Michael said then he went up the stairs.

"Aren't you going to have breakfast," Julie said,

"Already had it" Michael replied. He had a shower after he had dried off he took a look outside it's quite sunny and bright and quite hot so he decided, to wear a white cotton vest style body shaper a white button front t shirt, navy shorts and white slip on shoes. He picked up his shoulder bag and checked his purse picked up his car keys and left.

Michael came back from shopping and took the bags out of the boot of his car. He took the bags into the kitchen and started to put the shopping away. When Julie came into the kitchen I was the shop busy," she said. "Absolutely packed," Michael said putting the food away Julie put her arms around Michael's waist and kissed his neck. "Get off I've got things to do" Michael said Julie let him go and walked out of the kitchen. Michael finished putting the food away, and then he took out the hover and duster and went up the stairs to the bedroom and started to clean and vacuum the room. When he had finished in the bedroom he went into Paul's room and cleaned in there Paul kept his room in very good condition. Whereas Jennifer's room was a complete mess, in fact Michael nearly had a fit it was covered by cloths and trash which were scattered all over the room. He picked up some cloths that should have been put in the washing and folded some others and put them away in the wardrobe and vacuumed the room.

Picking up some of the trash he put it into the bucket, just then Julie put her head round the door. "I'm going to have a talk with our daughter when I get her home" he said.

"Why" she asked.

"Tae a look at this room" he said. I would you like a cup of tea" Julie said "that would be great dear" he said. As Julie made the tea Michael put the cleaning equipment away. They sat down in the living room and had their tea. Michael looked at the clock on the wall and said" I'd better go and pick up Jennifer from school" and got up and picked up his jacket and car keys and left. He arrived at the school with a few minutes to wait for the bell to go. Charles pulled up outside the school they saw each other and got out of their cars.

"Hi Charles how was Jenny last night. Michael said," okay no major disturbances, how was the party" Charles asked. Very good" Michael replied, then the school bell went and the hordes of school children came out. Michael saw Jennifer and waved to her, she waved back to him and walked over to him. Emma was with her as they got into their respected cars Emma said" see you tomorrow". Michael got into the car and drove it back to the house. Jennifer jumped out of the car and ran inside and up too her room. Michael followed her up " okay young lady, I came into your room today to tied up and your room was a disaster area. What have you got to say for yourself?" Michael said" come on dad it wasn't that bad" Jennifer said. "Look I expect you to take better care of your room" Michael said and went down stairs. He entered the living room and sat down I had to get out of there before I lost my temper" Michael said.
