When You Wish Upon A Star...
by J. R. Anthony
Chapter II
A Date In Reverse
Jordan picked out the sexy black dress from Karen's closet and draped it over his head, pulling the strap behind his neck. He turned to the mirror and looked himself over, making sure that it wasn't too revealing. After careful examination, and a quick play at acting feminine, he packed up everything he needed into Karen's purse, and slipped on a pair of half-inch heels, waltzing across the living room to the door, saying he'd be back around ten. Karen was outside waiting for him, dressed in black cargo pants and a red and silver striped sweater.
She escorted him to the fanciest restaurant in town, 'Valenti's Family Restaurant', holding open doors and helping him with his chair and everything. The perfect gentleman. It made him feel all tingly inside, like soemthing had touched his heart. He felt the female feelings and responses start to sink in. He was actually becoming Karen. He would no longer truly refer to himself as the former Jordan Rodger.
"What will you have?" the waiter asked, holding up a small paper pad and a pen.
"We'll share a plate of Fettucini Alfredo." Karen responded, taking Jordan's hand in hers and smiling.
"How'd you know that's what I wanted?" he asked, shocked at how she could always read his mind.
"Heh, trust me, after being you for a good three days, I know all about you. I could probably ace a test on you." she replied.
"Same here. I never realised how fun it could be to be a girl." He said, looking dreamily into space for a second. Then his mind brought the moment crashing down. What am I thinking! he told himself. He thought he had just said it was fun being a girl. He was obviously losing his mind. Or was he?
After dinner they went to the theater to see The Notebook. Jordan actually cried at the end, while Karen wasn't affected in the slightest. Everything seemed in reverse order. Usually Karen burst into tears at sappy movies, and Jordan was the one wanting to leave half-way through. At the concession, Jordan lingered outside the door, talking to Karen about the movie. Karen's mind was elsewhere, checking out some of the fine girls getting popcorn for the 10:30 show.
"I can't believe you're looking at the other girls instead of me. You filthy pig!" he snapped, glaring at Karen. "Can't you appreciate what you have?"
"Yeah, but it's fun to think of what it could be like with somebody else." she replied.
"So you're saying you'd be happier with somebody else!?" he shrieked. "Fine! Have someone else!"
"Karen!" she called, running after him. Then she realised she had called her boyfriend by her name, and that's when it all fell into place. She pieced it all together to see the big picture. Since they had switched bodies, Karen and Jordan had become more and more like each other by the minute. Jordan was as feminine as Karen had ever seen him, and Karen was becoming the buff, jock type. It was completely insane, but she knew it was true. She ran after Jordan in full stride, feeling excited as she watched his ass swing back and forth with every step in those black high heels.
She finally caught up with him on the front porch of her old house. It was weird to think of it as her old house, as it had been hers only three days previous. She rushed past him, and stood between him and the door.
"Jordan, don't you see what's happening? If we don't get back to our regular bodies, we'll eventually become each other! We absolutely must get back to our bodies before it's too late. I don't want to be stuck as you for the rest of my life,...no offense." she rambled, her eyes wide with terror.
"You're right. I don't want to finish my life as a girl! We need help! Fast!" he gasped, breathing heavily now. Karen left him with parting words of determination: "We must seek out someone who's handled this situation before, and get back to being who we were." He had gone straight up to bed, and pulled off the dress. He then realised something. He had never felt sexual pleasure from a woman's point of view. He thought it would be interesting, an adventure so to speak.
He stood in front of the mirror, and slowly removed a strapless bra and a black lace panty, walked over to the windowsill, crouching so Karen couldn't see he was naked, and called out to her as she made her way through the gravel driveway.
"Hey, Jordan. I've got a surprise for you. Come up to my room." he said, making sure she couldn't see his naked body at the windowsill.
"Be right there." Karen called back, wondering what on earth he could possibly have in mind. She opened the door to see a pitch black room. Out of nowhere Jordan jumped onto her, and began removing her clothing. It felt creepy to see his male body appearing from out of clothe he himself was taking off of her. After she was completely naked, no doubt feeling insane as she was excited to see her female body at her control from the other side. She thrust into him, groaning as the full effect of her erection took flight, as he moaned from the severe feelings of pleasure inside his vagina. It eventually morphed into a mutual task, him meeting her downward thrusts with upward ones, and loving every minute of it.
They woke up the next morning, lying beside each oither in bed, both smiling.
"That was just amazing!" Karen said, running a hand through Jordan's hair. He kissed her softly on the lips, and rolled over to swing his feet over the edge of the bed. It was almost time for soccer practise. Karen had just stood when there came aknock at the door. His parents. Her parents. They probably heard the noise last night, and were to mad to take care of it then. They both scrambled around, dressing into whatever they could find.
"Shit! Where do we go?" Jordan hissed, pulling the clasp closed on a bra that had been slung around a bedpost.
"I dunno!? Out the window!" Karen replied. "There's an old vine grid by the drainpipe. I used to climb down it all the time when I was going out with friends." she said, pushing him towards the window and opening the latch before pulling a t-shirt on. They both stepped out onto the flat balcony of the roof.
"You want to go first?" Jordan asked. He had done this before as well, but he wasn't sure his female body would be able to handle the climb. She comlied, and helped Jordan down, taking his hand and tugging him towards the back gate, leading to the old, rusted garage, filled with useless tools and two junk cars.
They walked though the town, both not being able to keep their wits as they knew Karen's old parents would be following them, either by car or foot. It wouldn't matter to them. Something else was bothering Jordan. The fact that he suspected they had heard his and Karen's conversation. It made him even more nervous. They dashed across main street and turned off into a dusty little shop at the corner of Bay Street and 36th Street.
"Why did you bring us in here?" Karen asked.
"I thought we could hide out in here until they give up." he replied.
"Knowing my folks, they'll never give up! They'll search for us until they've overturned every house, every shop, every mall, every restaurant in the whole fucking town!" she shrieked, her eyes wide with fear. "What'll they say when they find out we're not who they think we are." she whined, sliding down the wooden wall.
"I think they already know Karen. That's why they're after us." Jordan said, trying his best to comfort her.
Just then, they heard a faint cough from their right. They both jumped, and they jumped again at the sight of the aged man behind the counter, which was draped in heavy purple curtains. He was tall, and very thin. His large, lamp-like eyes blankly staring at the two of them. His faded brown eyes seemed to light up the room, and his face was decorated with a small, white beard that went down to his chest, and thinning grey hair.
"Good afternoon," he croaked ,"and welcome, to Murray's Mystics" He slowly swayed his hands in a horizontal fashion, as if to say "I'm completely harmless. Please, come closer". They both stood and walked over to the counter.
"Hello, sir." Karen said, taking the liberty to break the bone-chilling silence.
"Is there anything I can do for you two?" he asked, taking a pair of horn-rimmed, spectacles from the breast pocket of a navy blue, pinstriped suit, and placing them atop his crooked nose. He looked a bit like an elf, his ears looked pointed, and if he had been maybe a foot shorter, he'd have looked downright magical.
"Not really. You see, my parents are just searching for us, and we don't want to get in trouble. Really nothing we need." Jordan said, but the old man looked unconvinced. He slowly shifted his weight from one foot to the other and back, before giving Karen a skeptical look.
"Are you sure, you don't need anything, Karen?" he asked her. Her mouth fell open at once.
"How did you know?" she gasped, harly believing that he could tell it was her inside Jordan's body. "How in the Hell,...you must be....you can't possibly..." she stammered, looking for an excuse.
"And as for you, Jordan, I bet you're willing to take back that wish of yours?" he aske,d nodding towards him. He felt Karen's gaze upon him at once.
"What wish!?" she snapped, looking as venomous as a starving cobra.
"Er,....you see, Karen,....I uh,....I wished for this to happen,....but, I didn't really mean it,....well, I did, but not...." Jordan tried to explain, but couldn't come up with anything reasonable sensible to argue his case.
"You! Because of you! I had to reshape my mind to think with my new body, and it's all thanks to you!!" she yelled, slapping him across the face.
"But,...hold on,...how did you know about the wish, sir?" Jordan asked, favouring his left cheek as he spoke.
"I was the one who granted it." he replied. "You wondered what it was like to be a girl, so I made you one, and, to make you better understand your girlfriend, I switched your places."
"What!?" she screamed ,"you mean you were both in on this!?" she sat down and placed a hand on her heart. "Jordan, I thought you loved me. And yet you're so selfish that you switched bodies with me, just for fun!?"
"No. It's not like that at all! I didn't mean for this to-"
"-Do you ever think of anyone but yourself!?" she snapped. I stammered quite a bit. I didn't think I had been that selfish, after all, it was only a silly little wish. He felt betrayed that his own girlfriend would say something like that. Didn't she know him? After all, he had indeed been a gentleman to her on every date, besides when he was in her place, being a gentle-lady.
"Both of you calm down!" the old man shrieked. His voice was booming so loud that the glass ornaments behind him on the shelf rattled. "I've got a way to fix this and get everyone back where they should be, if you'll just follow me, please." He led them through a narrow hallway, lined with old-fashioned wododen doors. He led them to the end of the hall before unlocking a door with a rusty silver handle. He flitted over to a ceiling-height shelf and pulled down two giant crates, both with shoddy sides, nailed up with bent nails and screws. Just then, the bell rang from the entrance, and the old man muttered something before turning to them.
"Meet me here this time tomorrow, and I'll help you back to yourselves, all right?" he said quickly, before sprinting off down the hall.
"So, what do we do now?" Jordan asked.
"We wait. And while I'm at it, what other secrets are you hiding from me?" she asked angrily, glaring into his eyes as if to capture his soul and torture it.
"None. I swear, that's the only thing you didn't know about." he wheezed.
