A Travesty of Justice
by: Paul G Jutras

"Welcome to your new dorm room." Frank said as Gary walked into the doorway and dropped his back and jaw practically to the floor. Except for the twin bed, the small room looked more like a research lab than a dorm room. He began to wonder if he cold sleep with the blinking lights of the computer panels going off all night.

"What are you working on?" Gary asked.

"Genetics." Frank replied as a few quick moves on a computer key board brought up a pair of DNA chains up on the screen. One of these chains are mine and one is from my former sister."

"Former?" Gary said, finally able to take his eyes off the screen.

"She was my lab assistant." Frank explained. "Even though it was purely scientific, some of the guys on the floor thought we were fooling around."

"Is that why you needed a new roommate?" Gary asked.

"No, actually she died in a car wreak while we went home over the Christmas holiday. The car skidded on a patch of ice and crashed. I just got my casts off and it cost her life. Though she’s still with me in sorts thanks to my experiment."

"What do you mean?"

"Thought you’d never ask." Frank said as he walked into a phone booth at the corner of the room. Though such booths weren’t used publicly for decades, Gary recognized it from the Superman comics he read when he was a kid.

Like Underdog in the old cartoon series, the booths began to vibrate like it was about to explode. Instead, the area around it covered in steam. Out stepped a lovely young woman with raven hair down the middle of her back. The woman reached back and put the hair into a pony tale.

"Frank?" Gary stared shock.

"This is how my sister still live, thanks to a DNA sample." Frank said as he lead Gary to the booth. "Want to give it try. I was dating a girl who graduated while I was in the hospital. Got here DNA sample on file if you want to become her clone before gym class. I notice the collage had one at a time neither of us has any classes."

"Okay." Gary said as he decided to give it a shot. Soon Gary was stepping out of the machine while trying to get use to the sensation of long blonde hair cascading down his back. With a snicker, they secured the lab and locked the dorm door before heading down and empty hall and off to the gym.

"It felt strange for Gary to feel the absence between his legs and giving his large chest jiggling about as he worked out with the rest of the class. He couldn’t believe how flexible his new body was or how it caught the male’s eyes. He also found he had to put twice as much effort with less weights in the weight training part of class.

"This is what we’ve been waiting for." Frank told Gary as they had been late to see the girls changing for gym class. Now the former guys got to enjoy the pleasure of showering with a room full of girls. It wasn’t until Gary scrub himself all over that he notice how his new pleasure centers worked. He was surprise when Frank did his back and asked him to do his.

"That was like nothing I’ve ever experience." Gary declared once they were back in their dorm room and back in their old bodies. "I don’t have any classes tomorrow, so how can I help out?"

"I have been working on a dimensional portal." Frank said. "Don’t know if it’s perfected yet."

"After your gender changer." Gary smiled. "I doubt it."

"Really." Frank said as he hit a pair of keys on the computer and a ray gun suspended from the ceiling hit Gary. Instantly he felt his breath knocked out of him. Like someone had punched him in the gut. Then his vision became slightly blurred as he found it impossible to move. "You’re now been transferred to the 2 dimensional Japanese poster of Tenchi character, Kiyone. Good night and sleep tight."

It was early the next morning that Frank got up and released Gary from the poster. "Sorry about doing that, but it’s important for one to spend at least eight hours in a flat form before visiting the second dimension without harm. I nearly crushed my sister with the dimensional pressure before learning that."

"Pressure?" Gary thought a moment. "Like the pressure scuba divers deal with to avoid getting the bends?"

"Exactly." Frank said, handing Gary a remote control. "This is for portable dimensional travel. Just make sure to return before the batteries die out or you’ll be stuck."

"Aren’t you coming?" Gary asked.

"Yes, but I have my own remote." Frank said. "Encase I want to go back sooner than you."

With a button a vortex opened up and they stepped through. Gary found his long blue hair in pig tales while Frank had short dark hair that was the same tone as his sister body had. They were both wearing blue and white sailor school uniforms.

As Gary looked out of the 2nd floor window, he saw some kids with robots battling on the playground as well as others fighting in Kung-Fu style. "Just like many of the Japanese cartoons he seen on television in the past.

As he attended a full day of classes as a anime girl, he found that like most gals on a cel, even the little kid he seemed to of become had a pretty sexy body. Especially in gym classes white T-shirt and blue rubber gym shorts that seemed to make his hips look wider than the skirt.

"I’m heading home." Frank said as he lead Gary to the side of the school and opened the portal. "You coming?"

"I want to see what home life is like first." Gary said as he glance at his watch and knew he had time before leaving. "I’ll see you back in the dorm."

"Just remember, if you don’t get back in time, I’ll consider you lost and get a new room." Frank said. "The portal never seem to travel to the same animation world twice."

As Frank left, Gary smiled and put his remote in his pink back pack. He skipped off home with a inner sense where it was. Just as he was about to enter, the toon’s baby sister busted out the door and hugged him. He felt backwards and landed on the back pack.

"No!" Gary screamed as he reached into the back pack and pulled out a smash remote control. He took the pieces to the kitchen table, but didn’t have Frank’s knowledge of how it worked and even if one of the scientists of this world fixed it. It would no longer be program to take him back to his own dimension.

True to his word, Frank got a new room mate. The first thing Alex was warned about is how his other roommate touched the remote control and disappeared into another dimension, never to be seen again. He left out the part about being the one who brought Gary to the other dimension.

The mad scientist decided to hold off on dimension exploring for awhile. He and Alex enjoyed being a wedding in gym class when Alex got an announcement from his sister Gloria getting married in April. That gave Alex an idea for an April fools joke.

Taking a bottle of knock out gas, He brought his sister back to Frank’s lab and put her in the phone booth and then stepped inside himself. When he came out, he was his sister double dragging out an out cold copy of his former male self.

When Gloria woke on Alex’s bed, she sat up to the unusual feeling of a hard on between her legs and staring at herself in the seat across from the bed. "What’s going on?" She asked, clutching her throat with her hand when she heard Alex’s voice.

"April fools, Gloria." Alex smiled. "The machine in the corner swapped us."

Alex tasted Gloria’s strawberry brand lipstick as he smiled at the sight of himself running out of the dorm room in tears. For most of the day Alex pretended that "Alex" was sick and had ask Frank to pick up his homework and show his older sister around the school. It wasn’t until it was almost dark that Alex began to get worried.

Alex’s worry feelings was confirmed when he went to check his campus mailbox after gym class

and found a letter from his sister. The letter said that she was having second thoughts about the wedding since Mark was too possessive and wouldn’t let her have any say in the marriage. Included not being allowed to say no about getting married in the first place. While Frank and him had been out attending classes, Gloria had dropped Alex out of school and destroyed the phone booth beyond repair. The letter went on to read that by the time they read the letter that Gloria would have taken off from the airport under a false name to some point in the world so that Alex better get his mind set on enjoying his honeymoon.

It was as the letter slipped out of his hands that he turned around to see the groom standing behind him. Alex watched as he punched Frank in the eye and wall of mail lockers. Alex then had his now slim arm grabbed as he was dragged off the campus and to the guys car.

Alex could barely get dress, he was trembling in fear of his husband to be. Especially what he’d do if he didn’t show up at the alter. When the ceremony took place, his I DO squeaked out a couple of time before he could get out enough voice to be heard.

In the meantime Frank’s attempts to repair his gender machine had proved a failure and left him trapped in his sister’s body. He was; however, able to locate the dimension that his former roommate Gary had been trapped in. Unfortunately for Gary he had spent too long in the second dimension and even returning him to the collage dorm couldn’t return him to normal. It was decided that it was best that Gary remained a unsolved mystery and be an anime female super hero in the other uniform. For Gary the idea of never growing old and dying did have its upside. As well as the idea that unlike Frank and Alex, he’d never suffer from periods or pregnancy.

THE END
