Then She Made Four
by
Paul G Jutras
Ever since the age of five, Paul knew he was different. While the other boys were playing cops and robbers and cowboys and Indians; Paul was busy with the girls playing tea party and dress up. As time went buy and Missy and Gloria started developing in ways that he did, Paul started using breast forms until his parents caved in and let him start up on hormones. That brings us up to today. When Paul became Paula, she made 4 in the family.
"Here the job application I filled out." Paul as he stood before the super market manager dressed in a green tank top, white super short shorts and a pair of beach flip flops that showed off his painted toes. "Does every here wear black pants?'
"You can wear a skirt if you want to, Paula." Betty the manager said with a smile. "Just make sure you wear black hose with it though."
"Right," Paul (a) said with a smile to his painted face.
As Paul left he couldn't help but admire the long black dress, hose and open toe heels of the business woman walking out of the store next door and heading into the market.
"Did you get the job, dear?" His mother Sydney asked with a hopeful smile.
"I start tomorrow." Paul (a) said as he gave his mother a hug of affection. "Let's go shopping. I got some clothes I need for work."
"T.L. Jane's is having a find the dot sell." Sydney said as they walked down the sidewalk to the store. "Find the clothes with the price down dot tags and you get it as the color price represents."
"Sound great." Paul (a) said as they went into the store. Sydney got herself a new pair of strawberry stripped pajamas, a pair of slimmer pants and a couple of star sweaters for $14. Paul (a) got a couple of black split skirts, a black pair of slacks, Capris shorts and a new bathing suit at a cost of $25.
"I had a feeling you would get the job." Sydney said with a mysterious smile. She led her daughter in the mall salon. "Come on."
"My daughter and I are hair for our appointment." Sydney said to the lady at the desk. "If my daughter going to have her first job, she's going to look her best."
"Thanks, mom," smiled Paul (a)
"This is heaven." Paul (a) said. 45 minutes later he was having his finger nails done and his toe nails redone while his hair dried. "Doesn't the face mask feel wonderful?"
"It sure does dear." Sydney sighed as a pair of handsome and strong young men came up behind the two and began to massage their shoulders. "Your dad doesn't know what he's missing being a man."
The two giggled at their little inside joke as Paul (a) admired the color of his drying nails.
"Ready for your leg wax," A young woman asked sweetly as she came up beside her with a cart of ingredients.
"Take it easy on my daughter." Sydney said to her friend, Pam. "This is her first leg wax and I want her to look her best when she starts her new job."
"Don't worry, dear." Pam smiled. "It's a bit painful but well worth the beauty results to be as smooth as a baby's bottom."
"I'm sure I'll be fine." Paul (a) said. "I always wanted to try a wax job since I first started shaving."
"That's my girl." Pam smiled as she got to work.
After the leg wax Sydney and Paul (a) was soon done and heading out of the salon. "Where to now?" Paul (a) asked.
"How about mini golf," asked Sydney.
"Only if I get the pink ball," Paul (a) giggled as they took off for the car and drove on over to the course.
"Wait a second." Paul (a) said as he stopped in front of the shoe store and saw a pair of swirl sandals. "Those will look better than my embroidered espadrille with my linen looks pants hat home."
"Those charm step pumps really would look as good on me as the pedal pushers I have on or the Beacon sandals I bought this morning." Sydney said as she dug into her purse. "Okay then, first shoe shopping. After that we'll go for the mini golf."
After Paul (a) beat his mom at golf they rented the movie Titanic to have a good cry together. The mother and daughter look good in matching orchid satin stripe sleepwear. Paul (a) in an elegant sleep shirt while her mom preferred head to toe comfort men wear inspired pajamas.
"Hope you had a wonderful last day of freedom." Sydney asked with a smile over pancake breakfast.
"It was the perfect girl's day." Paul (a) said as she said between her dad and mom at the breakfast today. "I'm told the rolling teams from different colleges across the country will be coming into today. Work should be busy with first day shopping for the hotel their staying in."
"Don't work too hard, dear." Sydney smiled and gave her daughter a kiss on the cheek while her dad didn't glance out from behind the newspaper until Paul (a) was gone to work. He was disgusted with the idea of having a daughter instead of a son but heard of too many transsexuals on the news killing themselves to keep Paul (a) from being happen with herself.
