Spells R Us : Thanks For Giving                     by: Paul G Jutras

Paul Marcus, CEO of Marcus and Tate, had finished his paper work for the evening and said thank you to his secretary. At work Paul had a heart of gold, but at home he ran things with an iron fist. Every holiday his wife, Cleo was a slave in the kitchen for 3:00pm Thanksgiving dinner.

At the same time, Cleo was doing some last minute shopping for items needed when she would start cooking in the morning. That was when she spotted a store that she never noticed before. Walking in she heard a tinkle of the bell above the door. Behind the counter was a man in a robe. "Welcome Cleo Marcus, I've got just what you've been dreaming of."

"How do you know my name?" The wizard grinned. "Magic. The same type that can give you a day off tomorrow."

"What is it?"

Reaching behind the counter, the wizard held up a turkey wishbone. "Take one end and pull." He snickered as Cleo looked puzzled but could see no harm. With that she took one end and pulled, getting the bigger end. "You got your wish."

"What wish?" Cleo started when she noticed she was looking at the wizard directly in the eye instead of up at him. She also noticed she no longer belt the weight of her breasts or her hair on her neck.

"I suggest you go home, Mr. Marcus and wait for your wife." The wizard said holding up a mirror. "Just use to wish bone tomorrow if you wish to switch back."

The new Paul rushed home. "He" couldn't wait to see his "Wife." It wasn't long before Cleo stormed into the house in a most unladylike fashion. "Cleo!" the new woman cried. "What's going on? What happened to me." She cried in a high pitch tone.

"Now Cleo don't scream. My ears are sensitive." Paul smiled. "Should I say your ears. We'll change back but not until after Thanksgiving tomorrow. Now, I suggest you get some sleep. You've got a long day in the kitchen tomorrow."

"Me? Cook?" The new Cleo stood in shock.

Paul tried to argue with his former wife in his body, but finally gave up and went to bed. She automatically got up at 4 in the morning and got ready in the Donna Reed type outfit, Paul always made Cleo wear during every holiday dinner.

The new Paul enjoyed watching his former body working hard in the kitchen. He thought how he might hold on to the wishbone after Thanksgiving and give his "Wife" some time in his heels before deciding to change back. Beside, he liked being the one in authority for a change.
