The rest of the Story

We find our friend recovering and ready to go home after a change from a boy to a girl .

Never had been out where people had seen him/her and now the adventure begins..

Love is the key to recovery and to healing ЕRone

The next morning , I woke up and needed a change and a shower ЕThe nurse came in and helped me into the bath room Еthe shower chair was there she put me in it turned on the water and checked the temperature she stood me up and removed the wet diaper, set me back down pushed me in and gave me some shampoo and a washcloth Е..She said ,

"Do I need to set a timer today "Е.." No set it next Sunday ,, I will still be here Е."

Giggling she went out and started changing the bed Е.when she was done she came back in and got me out ,, wrapped me with a nice warm towel ,carried me to the bed and laid me down , dried me put a diaper on me and picked me up put me in the wheelchair Е

"Stay " she said Е

she got a brush and a hair drier worked my hair out , then put it in a pony tailЕ.

"You are going home today and we want to make you pretty "

"thanks Е.."I saidЕ." what I can do .. "

" Just be your self and let me do the work Е"she got out the bra and slip camisole and the green dress ЕЕlaid them on the bed ,

"Now take your braces and put them on, let me help when you need it Е want to try ? "

Ok , I started to put them on like Mrs. Wells did and it was not easy but I managed to get one on and pulled the Velcro straps around my legs and fastened it on Velcro strapped my shoe , then tried the other one and that took a while but I got it on and put the Velcro straps on the shoes ЕЕЕI felt proud of my self, that I could do it myself Е.just think two months ago I didn't think anything like this could happen ,

Not in my wildest dreams Е..From an abnormal fifteen year old boy to a little girl in no time flat ЕЕstrange Е..

The nurse shook me , "You ok Ronda " ,,,, "

"Yeah , I just got lost in my mind a little :"Е

The nurse said "ok put your arms out and put this on,,, let me show you a trick to put it on backwards, fasten it and turn it around like this , now put your arms through the straps adjust and your done Е"

"Now the camisole same as an undershirt only fancy . Now the slip try to put it on from the top pull it over your boobs that's it , adjust Е that's good now the dress undo the buttons and open and put arms in and bring it over your head pull it over your boobs and down , adjust Е let me button it up Е.I will tie the ribbon in a bow in back here"Е.She said Е..Fluff up your sleeves a little Е. Ok now let me put you in this chair Е let me do your nails" .

".Ok " I said

"Light green to go with that dress Е a little lippy white just a little Е. Oh you look nice" she said "..

You're too young for eye shadow maybe when you are older Е..but we can put a little mascara on your lashes hold still , Well you are ready for the world go get em "ЕЕ..

I rolled over to the mirror and looked in saw myself Е Wow I was pretty really looked nice Е. No doubt I am a girl Е.

Mom and my sisters came in and came over hugs and kisses all around ..We were happy just to be together Е.I was going home Е..We packed up all the animals and cards Е.

Started to go and when I got to the desk all the nurses came out to wish me well .

I thanked them and Mom gave them some flowers she brought with her Еkisses and hugs , it is hard to explain the bond you get when the people you know and have taken care of you even changing my diapers and feeding me when I could not do it myself ..

Finally we went out to the car

We got in moms blazer. She picked me up and put me in a car seat then put the wheelchair in the back Е.off we go to home Е..It takes about an hour to get there and when we drove in the driveway I think the whole Town was there and all the kids from school Е.

They never saw me dressed like a girl before .I was nervous and afraid this is where I was hurt , where it all started Е.mom got out and got my wheelchair out and rolled it to the door Е"Come on" she said wiggling her fingers Е".mom I m afraid lets go away some where Е" I said .. She saw that I was afraid Е..She sat next to me and called Miss Sloan over . " She is afraid of the crowd."

Miss Sloan said "Ok let me help Е.Sue , Debbie ,," she called them over .." Help Ronda out and stay with her she is afraid and needs some support "Е. Come on Ronda I will help you ,"Sue came over she put her hand out to me and took mine and gently pulled me ЕЕshe said .." I will carry you no one will hurt you in my arms and live" Е.she picked me up and cradled me like a small child Е.turned and walked toward the house where the people were Е.when the people parted away from the front I could see a new porch built on to the house with a ramp ,

The ramp went from the driveway to the porch and there were no stairs . It was painted white with hand rails all around fancy scroll work on the roof with gutters and down spouts ,,,, there was a cement sidewalk around to the back of the house and a patio with a cover on it Е.It was really well built ЕЕTo say I was stunned would be a understatement , mom came to me and said , " Ronda this town knows what happened to you and they understand you will need some changes to get around Е.The school wood shop took on a project for credit and the students built the porch and patio, the materials were donated by some local merchants and a auto parts store paid for all hardwareЕ"

"Some guy named john Еdo you know him Е.he said you do Е. " Mom said

I asked Sue "Please put me down Е and get my sticks I have to try out this sidewalk and patio " my sister brought my sticks and I started to move on the sidewalk toward the back ,,,started to stumble and was caught by Jason ..When I looked up at him tears in my eyes and tears in his said a lot ..

Aunt Wendy brought my chair Еhe set me in it and put my sticks in the back holder .

"Look out world we , Turned her loose " ..he shouted. everyone was cheering and clapping I took off to the patio and turned around headed back to the house turn the corner and up the ramp to the front of the porch ЕI was SO happy, tears flowed "THANK YOU ALL I DON'T KNOW HOW TO REPAY YOU FOR YOUR KINDNESS AND HARD WORKЕ"

Uncle Bob yelled out " Enough Talking lets party "

There was a party then and they were cooking barbeque ( BEEF BRISKET FOR ALL YOU FORNERS ) Potato salad BEANS with the snappers removed I was told ..

You know why >>>>> What a day ,,, I was tired when we ended the party it was starting to get dark and cooler outside ..everyone went home ,,,,,It was quiet ЕI was wet and needed a change mom picked me up and to my room Е.there was a changing table in there she said so her back didn't break Е..my bed was higher and had a canopy top now

Side rails so I wouldn't fall out Е " I guess we start on the next fifteen years .."

I said to mom..

Smiling she answered , ' yes we do my princess yes we do ЕЕ. "

She put me on the changing table and started to remove my braces and ,shoes. .unbutton my dress and take off my clothes when I was naked she put a nightgown and a diaper on me put me in the bed and kissed me .turned off the light and closed the doorЕ.
