Some readers wanted more details on the power source so here goes. The shocker is powered by small Nickel Metal Hydroxide Rechargeable batteries which feed an oscillator which is coupled to a step up transformer to step up the voltage to a shocking level. This signal is rectified and converted to Direct Current and fed through a resistor to charge a capacitor and stored till needed.
