New Holly Potter

by

Paul G. Jutras

Getting off the train with Luna and Ginny, Holly looked around for Ron and Hermione. Before them was a hundred or so stagecoaches that took the students from the second year on to the castle. The creatures pulling them were like reptilian horses and gave Holly a cold shiver as she passed them. She slowly climbed into the same coach her friends decided to ride in.

"Are you okay, uh, Holly?' asked Ron.

"Just a little nervous," Holly said as she'd notice Draco Malfoy had also gotten into the same carriage. She cleared her throat. "About starting over in a new school, I mean."

"Hello there." Malfoy said with a smile. "I hear you've been unlucky enough to be stuck living with such a disgrace to the wizard world was the Weasley's. I hope you end up in my house so you can see what it means to be a real wizard."

"Oh, brother," Holly thought to herself as the carriages pulled to a halt near the stone steps of the castle. Holly almost made the mistake when walking down to the Great Hall of sitting down at the Gryffindor house table. A nudge in the side from Hermione made sure she straightened back up and waited.

"Welcome back." Professor Dumbledore said as he stood up before the students at the head table. "Before Professor McGonagall bring in the first years to sort out, I'd like to ask Holly to step up so that our young transfer can be properly settled in."

Holly swallowed hard as she glanced at her friends and moved to the little stool in front of everyone. She felt even more nervous this time than before. As the hat was placed on her head, she heard its' voice inside her own.

"Greetings Potter," said the hat. For once Holly wasn't all that surprise. She knew that when not sorting students into the houses that the hat rested in Dumbledore's office. It had to of know of the plot from the very start. "Where shall we put you this time?"

"I'd like to go back to Gryffindor." Holly thought back to the hat. She stared at the faces of the teachers not in on her secret and the houses waiting a decision. "I was promised to have Hermione and Ginny as my roommates this year to help with my transition."

"You could have a total new start in Slytherin, but if you're sure." The hat thought to Holly before speaking out loud: GRYFFINDOR!

"I would also like to state that until we get a new dark arts teacher that our potions teacher, Professor Snape will be filling in."

Everyone clapped. As Ron helped Holly sit down beside him, Malfroy frown grew even more harsh. When Holly saw that Ron still had his arm around the back of her neck and resting on her far shoulder, she moved it and slid over toward Hermione. This caused Malfroy to give a slight chuckle.

After the feast, Ginny lead her new room mates to their room. Holly felt strange as she went up a different set of stairs than before. She felt like she was going into a taboo area. Only the castle defenses to keep the boys out of the girl side wasn't stopping her. She knew that deep down she was truly a girl.

As the other two walked right into their room, Holly stood in the opening for a brief pause. She took a deep breath and walked into the room to see the others making sure all they're stuff had arrived safely.

"It's okay." Hermione said as she kissed Holly on the side of the face and gave her a smile. "You have me by your side."

"Thanks," Holly blushed. "Having you behind me means more than you know."

"I've always like you too." Hermione said with a heart warming sigh. "Remember, we're both girls now, Holly. Ginny can keep you company for awhile and I'll meet you in the common room for homework after I make my prefect rounds."

"This is our first day back, we don't have homework." Holly said

"Now you know what the Gryffindor girls have been going through," Ginny joked with a slight giggle. "Miss work all time."

"I'm not that bad." Hermione said. "The year is going to be tough enough with her personal life without her worrying about keeping up with her classes. By getting ahead, she'll have more time to get use to her new self."

"I'll try, but I'm joining Ron over at the Quidditch field." Holly said as her hand brushed past her breasts reminding her of her new self. "I need to see how well my new center of gravity can balance on a Fire bolt. Hopefully I can get Harry's place as Seeker."

"Ron didn't say anything to me about trying out. " Hermione said with a snicker. "I think I'll see you two. I'm sure you and Ron could use all the support you can get."

"See you there," Holly said with a red face as she suddenly had an urge to go to the bathroom. "Can you show me where the rest room is before you go? The only girls room I been to is the one with Moaning Myrtle in it and I don't wish her seeing me like this."

"I'll show her," Ginny said as she took Holly's hand. "You'd better see the other house prefects."

When Hermione finished her patrol, she got to the Gryffindor field to find that try outs were just finishing. She walked up to Ginny with a confused look on her face. "Is it over? Ron should be just getting here too."

"Ron said he was going to do his patrol after the try outs." Ginny said as Ron and Holly came walking over. "I'm glad you got to be new seeker, Holly. I'm sure Ron will be great as Keeper with some more practice."

"True, but he'd do better if he wasn't trying to show off to impress me," Holly thought as Hermoine got between them all and got right up into Ron's face.

"Ron, how could you neglect your job as prefect for a try out?" Hermoine asked.

Before Ron could answer, Malfoy shoved him aside. "Pardon me, Weasley." He said in an unconvincing tone before turning toward Holly. "Nice work up there, Holly. It would be better if you were on the Slytherin team, but you're one Gryffindor I wouldn't mind rooting for."

"Back off Malfoy," said Ron in anger. "Otherwise…"

"You want a wizard's duel." Malfoy smirked before storming off. "Very well, meet me where Potter and I dueled during our second year."

"What do you think you're doing, Ron?" Hermoine asked annoyed. "We may have learned a lot more than most about the dark arts while dealing with he who must not be named, but you're not match for Malfroy."

"That's my concern," Ron said as he looked toward Holly. "You think it was brave of me to stand up to him, don't you?"

"You're a prefect, Ron!" Hermoine shouted. "You're supposed to be setting an example for the others."

"I am setting an example." Ron turned his back on his fellow perfect. "I'm setting an example not to be pushed around by bullies."

"Probably get transfigured into a frog or something," Luna chuckled. "Be good reading for my dad's paper."

"This is so foolish." Angelina said a week later she shook her head later as the duel was about to start. "Ron may not be much of a keeper; unless he's showing off for Holly, but he's all I got."

"Ron, it's not too later to call this off and go to Hogsmade." Hermoine called out.

Ron and Malfoy faced each other with their wands raised like swords. With wands in combat position, waiting to see who would use a disarming spell first. Feeling too worried to look, Holly automatically moved closer to Hermione.

"Rictusempra!" Malfoy shouted as a silver light struck Ron and caused him to double over in pain. "Scared yet, Weasley?"

Ron tried to counter with a immobilizing spell. Instead of hitting Malfoy; however, he struck Neville Longbottom. "Always me," was all he could mutter in his frozen statue like state.

"Nice try, Weasley." Malfoy laughed as he aimed his wand. " Femius Altercation."

The group stared in disbelief as Ron's hair grew down to his shoulders while his hips and breasts pushed out against his wizard robes. Robes that now included a skirt instead of pants.

"What did you do to me?" Ron squealed in a high pitch voice.

"At least she can still play as our keeper." Angelina said with relief.

"Making sure you're no rival for me and Holly." Malfoy said as the doors to the dueling chamber opened. In walked Professor Dumbledore with Professor Snape and Professor McGonngall.

"Ron, ten points from Gryffindor." Professor McGonngal stared.

"As well as for Slytheran," added Professor Snape.

"Can you change Ron back?" Professor Dumbledore asked hopefully.

"I'll have to study the spell, but this is advance dark magic." Professor Snape said with a sigh. "I'll write to Ron's parents that I'm working on it while the young lady is transferred to one of the girl's room for the time being."
