Chapter 7

Seeing that Sarah and Susan were both sitting down and looking at her with inquisitive eyes, she took a deep breath and started to explain what was happening.

"Susan, Sarah apart from myself just mentioning it, have either of you heard of a planarity shift?"

"I have" Sarah said, "although I don't understand what it is."

"Ok Sarah, then I will explain it all for both of you."

"The universe is in a fragile balance between magic and technology and while most of the time the planets are ok, once every three thousand years there is a planetary shift and the balance between magic and technology shifts."

"At the moment we are in a technology phase where all kinds of technology work and there is not much if any magic, after the planetary shift we will be in a magical phase where there will be a lot of magic but only the very basic technology will work."

"By basic I mean anything over hand tools, cranks and basic things like horse and carts technology wise will not work."

"As you will have already guessed we are currently entering and experiencing a planetary shift, and I know that this is a lot for you both to take in but there is still a lot that I have to tell you."

"When the planarity shift occurs, there will be a shift in the government here in the united kingdom as magic is gender specific and it only works in females and the magical power varies with each person, so we do not know who is going to have strong magical powers apart from in a few cases with I will explain in a moment."

"While the government is well aware of what is happening, they as well as ourselfs do not know when the planetary shift is going to occur, only that it will be soon."

"There is a hidden society made up of witches out there that are planing to take over the ruling of the United Kingdom during the planetary shift, but as of this moment my group whom your parents Susan where part of, do not know who they all are."

"My group have been battling the society for years in the hope to be on the top when the planetary shift happens and in doing so help the ruling government manage to keep the transition to our new lifestyle without to much trouble or problems."

"The reason it is so hard to find out who could be with the society is that they use telepathy to communicate, we also use telepathy to communicate and it is a hard battle front that is constantly shifting."

"Now you know the history of the planarity shift, I have gotten to the hard part of my story girls and that is the part that involves you both."

"The reason why the battle between our two groups have intensified over the last few months is that both sides have recognised that a planetary shift is about to occur and want to be the group on top when it dose finally happen."

Looking at Susan she continued "I am sorry Susan for what you have had to go through this past year at school but it was necessary to fool the society into thinking that you were not as smart as you are."

"Why Miss Smart, you made my life hell this year, please you have to tell me why you did that?" Susan asked.

After thinking for a few seconds Susan's look changed from one of interest to one of anger as she realised something and said, "You tricked me into dressing as a girl, didn't you?"

"Yes Susan we did, but it was a last resort to protect you after you managed to avoid all the other attempts that we made to protect you."

With her temper seething inside she angrily said "you owe me an explanation Miss Smart, and I want to know what it is right know."

"Yes you do deserve an explanation Susan, and I will tell you why your parents approached me to help set it up."

"Like I said earlier magic is specific to females, although no one understands why that is the case, but there is one person who is different in each generation. Once a generation a male is born who is able to use magic, but not the normal magic that females use."

"No the magic they use can not be thought as it come from inside and is used purely by instinct, your farther Susan was one of those people and lust like the rest of us he couldn't do much magic during a technology phase and I can not tell you what magic he was able to do as I never saw him do any, I only knew that he could do some magic."

The reason why your mum approached me was that she sensed that you might have the ability as well but could not be sure and so to play safe and to protect you, they went to Europe without you, but with a substitute made to look like you and travelling under your name."

"Who was it Miss Smart?" Sarah asked.

"My niece who was made to look like mark as he then was Sarah, and was on board the plane when it was blown up as well."

"Oh I am so sorry" Sarah replied.

"It's ok Sarah she knew the risk, but what I am trying to say is that the society at this moment think that Janet, Steve and yourself Mark are dead, how long if they ever realise that Mark is still alive is unknown, but and this will be hard on you both will have to carry on as if Mark is dead as I will have to announce it tomorrow morning in the assembly."

"Susan I know that your trust at the moment is at a all time low, but please believe and trust Sarah and her mum as they are friends."

"Sarah, once the planetary shift has occurred you will be able to do magic, although Susan will not be able to, you will have to figure out a way to make it look like Susan can do some magic, remember that magic levels in all females differ, although all females can do some magic."

"I know that you helped with tricking Susan into her current role, but work on rebuilding her trust as she will need you as much as you will need her sooner or later."

"Susan, with regards to your feeling of the energy field in the beach wood, each object has an energy field and sometimes it is used by psychic healers who are supposed to balance the bodies different energy fields."

"Weather that is what you are picking up on, I do not know but remember that it is not a proven field of thought, I would suggest you keep it to yourself for the moment and see if you can detect it again, and if you can, try to get some control over it."

"Now both of you go home and think about what I have just told you and I will see you back here tomorrow, Sarah you mum will be waiting in the main car park."

Once the girls had left the office, Miss Smart slumped down in her chair and glanced across the room to the school safe, were she had placed the release agent for the specialist glue that is holding Susan's new female shape from falling apart.
