The Genesis Club
by Saintly

Somehow, I knew it would end up like this.
I looked down at my body, a soft curve of a taunt belly, rolling into gently curving hips, thighs and small, soft feet. I felt small, but in a safe way, the way you can feel when you are gently wrapped up in a warm blanket by a friend... or lover.
=-=
"Jim, bro, its time to forget."
"Forget? She was with that little bastard! Forgetting that is like... like I don't know but it's a tragedy!"
"Hey man, I don't know what's going on in your little mind, but it was two weeks ago. You've been mopey and depressed for weeks. Listen, I know you hate clubs, but ya can't sulk here. It's just gonna make you feel worse. Listen, ya know that new place, the Genesis Club?"
"Genesis Club?"
"You've been out of the loop."
"I guess."
"It's this new place, down by the Maritime District. It's your kind of place... just enough dark to make it interesting, just enough light to see a glimmer in an eye."
"Ya make it sound like heaven... sounds like a place..."
"Don't finish that sentence. Here, get changed, get shaved, and we'll go in an hour, okay?"
"I know it'll suck, but I'll do it. Just stay off my back for a while. I'll get back on the horse when I'm damn good and ready."
=-=
I looked at him. His beard was just starting to grow in a little. He probably shaved before he left, and it's been about 5 hours. I stroked the tiny growth of stubble along his jaw line for several minutes, feeling it against small hands with jutting nails, with a soft red polish.
=-=
"What you doing, Jim? You've been at the bar since we got here, common on the dance floor! Your not going to get much display sitting over here like Norm."
"I'll go over... the music's just..."
"What? Oh common, this is one of your favorite songs I know it is. 'One more time, one more time' infinitum. Now come on out here... this girl is special. Not my type, but I bet you and her might have something cooking."
=-=
I nestled my head against his shoulder. Still asleep, he laid a hand against my bare thigh. I smiled softly, my lips, lightly tinted pink, slightly smeared by the previous evening, could only curl into a pleased smile.
=-=
"Heya..."
"Hey."
"I was told you're kinda on the heart-break mend... sorry to hear that. She cheated on you."
"Ya."
"I also know you lost your job last week."
"He tell ya that too?"
"Naw. I just knew."
"How?"
"You have the air of a man whose life just doesn't want to cooperate right now."
"Interesting way to put it."
"I find ways to make things interesting. Want a drink?"
"Sure."
"Two Genesis."
=-=
It was near to 7... the sun streamed into the room. The warm rays felt so good against my body... maybe I'd go out sunbathing today. I never have before, bit it just sounds so good.
=-=
"Genesis?"
"Ya... the house special. Here..."
"I typically worry when people put their fingers in my drinks."
"Just giving it something special... a hint of... the mystic."
"And you look like the type who could. What should we drink to?"
"How about... to the fulfillment of desires... for we each to have what we want, as we need, and as we dream."
"Beautiful. Mmm.... interesting. What's in it?"
"The Barkeep's not saying. I bet it's not illegal, but I wouldn't bet it's common."
"So your into witchcraft? Should I get the bundles of wood for the burning pyre?"
"Hehehe... not that kind of magic. I help people find their deeply rooted dreams. People call us angels, devas, mystics, soothsayers... we call ourselves The Genesis People. We create new life and new dreams from those that could not other wise be met."
"To The Genesis People then."
"The Genesis People."
=-=
I wrapped the long bed sheets around me. I always saw it done in the movies and it felt so good doing it. I walked to the bathroom... took off some of my makeup. It still was rather incredible what stared back at me.
=-=
"Wow... strong things. I couldn't tell you were we are."
"We're safe. Don't worry."
"ooookay... hehehehehe..."
"So you know... your dreams are pretty obvious. She left you. She hurt you. Your only dream was not to be hurt. You wanted to be happy. You've thought since you were a child that girls didn't get hurt, and were always happy."
"oh yaaahhh.... girls got it easy... if it, it didn't, it didn't involve slicing off my dick, ya know I've be one."
"Oh?"
"Ya but I'm, I'm kind of attached to it."
"Well... the Genesis did it's trick... your open.. Your honest."
"Yaahhh.. I'd be a girl..."
"Shush... now... close your eyes. We Genesis People will allow your dream to be real. When you have awakened, you might feel out of place, but you will know it's right. Gaia blesses you."
=-=
I could remember everything pretty clearly... I had a similar body, though smaller, and female.
I was Jim... now... Kali. My name is Kali.
And last night, the Genesis People gave me one of their drinks at the Genesis Club... and it let me be what I wanted so badly.
I never could admit it... but my feelings were a girl's. I just was too hung up on bad relationships as a man.
=-=
"Hey beautiful."
"Hey... hey! Where are we?"
"Back at your place, Jim... well ummm..."
"Kali."
"What?"
"My name is Kali. I don't know why but I know it."
"Well, I found you near the club... you were wearing what you had on, and stumbling drunk. Glad a cop didn't find you first."
"Ya..."
"I brought ya here, and let you sleep it off... it's like 1 PM."
"Oh jees. Glad I don't have work."
=-=
I slipped into the warm folds of a hot shower... I couldn't really resist the temptation to look and explore. Few guys would get this chance. It felt odd... like the highs of a male orgasm, but sustained. Passing into orgasm was gentle and breathtaking. The second one was better.
Right about then, going back to being Jim didn't sound so nice.
I cleaned up and got dressed. Dress? Where did these come from? And the make up?
=-=
"Ji... ur Kali. We need to get you back to the Genesis Club.. They probably can help you.... Kali, Kali??"
"What?"
"Where'd you get the dress?"
"I don't know where it came from... or the make up.. or how I knew."
"Guess it's what ever they did.... ummm Kali?"
"Yes?"
"How did it feel?"
"What?"
"I heard you in there."
"No fitting description."
=-=
He opened my door. I wonder if it was because I was a girl, or because I was "sick". How could I tell him? I guess finding out the truth is a good start, regardless of how it turns out.
I noticed I smoothed my skirt, and I sat down very feminine in the car. I felt so different. How could I go back to having.. body hair? Or looking at that thing between my legs?
=-=
"Umm... if I said I was really scared, what would you think?"
"That's understandable."
"What if I said I didn't want to go?"
"You want to be stuck a girl?"
"I don't think I'd see it was 'stuck.'"
"Well, lets talk to them."
"Okay."
=-=
That's when we got there. All that was there was a broken down storefront no one's even looked in for ages.
We even broke down the door to check.
This was it. But it was gone.
The club disappeared.
=-=
"Don't worry. I have ID... I have a life... I'm a girl. I'm Kali."
"How? How'd it happen?"
"Don't ask."
"What do you mean Don't Ask??"
"Something happened. You and I can't explain it... but I'm happy. And I think if I remember... that's the goal."
"Of Genesis Club?"
"Yes."
=-=
And we drove off. I eventually found some work... everything... and I do mean everything... was changed. I had a full woman's life. My degree was good, my job was much better, and we eventually got together... though it didn't work out.
Being a girl let me be honest and who I am. I can only wonder if I'll ever stumble on a place called The Genesis Club again... if I do... I'll be sure to stop in, enjoy a Genesis, and maybe help someone else too.
