Do Wah Diddy Diddy Dum Diddy Do
by Samantha Michelle Davies
The words of the 1964 song by Manfred Mann that I was humming to myself were, very apt when I saw the person I was due to meet walking towards me. It was a beautiful crisp, clear autumn day with the sun shining out of a clear blue sky but with a cool northerly wind blowing the browning leaves around in gusts.
"
There she was just a walkin' down the street."Her beauty was immediately obvious. Her long blonde hair was blowing in the wind, a lovely smile appeared on her face as she recognised me. A stirring between my legs told me that my subconscious also revelled at the sight of her beauty. Her bosom wobbled slightly as she strolled towards me. I mentally quelled the swelling between my legs. It would not do to have it showing for all & sundry to see how smitten I was with her.
" She looked good, she looked fine, she looked good"
I saw her from a distance. I knew just how far she had come. The journey had been far from easy. I knew the trials & tribulations that she had gone through just to get the courage to leave her house dressed like that. It was a passing out event worth of any military school in the world.
"And I nearly lost my mind"
As she got closer I saw how well suited her outfit was.
A pair of black ankle boots with not too high a heel, Black Opaque tights. A Black roll neck top outlined the svelte form of her body. She wore a fairly short skirt in a sort of Black & White tartan pattern with a matching scarf. The long blond hair finished of a perfect look of pure beauty. The months of strict dieting and corset training had done their job well.
" She looked good, she looked fine, she looked good"
Closer still and I see some details of her makeup. It was completely in character with what she was wearing. The only non-monochromatic items were a lovely shade of red on her lips. The same colour was applied to very long nails that were on the end of long elegant fingers.
" She looked good, she looked fine, she looked good"
As I came up to her I looked around and found that I was alone in front of this office block with mirrored glass windows.
"I'm so happy and that's how I'm gonna stay"
"Well, I'm hers well I'm hers and she's mine, and she's mine"
Of course that was true, I was looking at myself.
"Do Wah Diddy Diddy Dum Diddy Do"
The End.
Authors note.
This story was inspired by the words to a piece of music that was written in the 1960's and made Famous (A No1 Hit in the USA) by the British group "Manfred Mann" in 1964. The full words to the song can be found in many places on the Internet including http://www.srv.net/~roxtar/manfred_mann.html
If you are in the UK, then some of the Original Members (including Paul Jones) of the group are currently touring. This song is one of many hits from that time they will be playing while on tour. http://www.themanfreds.com/tour_dates.htm
