The College Experiment
by Little Katie
Day One
The first experience that a lot of young adults have being on their own is often in college. This is often the time for experiment with a lot of different aspects of life, both good and bad. Some college students try drugs and alcohol for the first time, and others try to discover who they are. Usually more learning goes on while the students are away from the classrooms then they do while attending a lecture.
This to is true of Patrick, a first year student at a small liberal arts college on the west coast. Most of his life has been spent working on his parent’s farm and attending church three times a weeks. Once for Wednesday youth group and twice on Sunday. He and a friend, Colleen, rented a small apartment near campus as their parents paid for it. It was cheaper for them to live this way then at the dorms, and being the good kids as they were, their parents knew nothing obscene would happen.
Second semester was almost half over and the temperature was more then spring-like. Midterms were around the corner and the pair kept their grades up. As were their parent’s wishes they kept their vow to just stay friends. They each had their own interests and group of friends, though they did spend time together they never did anything romantic. Pretty much the same old story, two friends away from home doing the best they could in new surroundings. Till one day, things just happened to change.
It was a warm day; Patrick had taken an afternoon jog. He wasn't a fitness nut; he just liked to keep healthy. He was to small to play sports at barely five foot five inches and maybe a hundred pounds soaking wet with bricks in his pocket. He kept his hair a tad longer then his parents would like, coming down to just over his collar, but they were hundreds of miles away and what they didn't know wouldn't hurt them. He took a quick shower, not wanting to smell during dinner, and was just stepping out when he noticed that he had inadvertently left his towel on the living room couch. This wasn't too much of a problem though; he was the only one home and other then leaving small puddles on the floor, no big deal.
"Crap," Patrick exclaimed as he saw Colleen sitting on the living room recliner.
Colleen giggled slightly as she saw her friend turn red in embarrassment, "Relax, I know what one looks like."
"But not mine," Patrick said as he quickly wrapped the towel around his waist.
"There's nothing wrong with it."
"Sure there is, I mean it's not like its big or nothing." Patrick said, being more open about that subject then usual.
"Nah, it's almost average." Colleen laughed.
"Yeah, almost, thanks a lot. It's more bother then its worth I tell you."
"What do you mean by that?"
"Well it's the truth," Patrick explained, "For a guy all it does is bring you trouble, we'd be better without it."
"Guys, or just you?" Colleen asked while twirling her hair with her index finger.
"Well, I guess just me. It's just how I feel about that piece of me."
"For real," Colleen said almost in shock, "so are you like one of those guys who think they'd be better as a girl."
"What gives you that idea?" Patrick said defensively.
"Well, I saw it on your bookmarks, you got a lot of sites that talk about that. I hope you don't mind but I looked at your history and you seem to read a lot of stories from Fictionmania and Big Closet."
"Oh," Patrick didn't know whether to be angry or horrified that someone found out.
"It's okay with me," Colleen broke the awkward silence, "in fact I think it is kind of cool."
"You do," Patrick was surprised now.
"Sure, I could see you as a woman, probably an improvement." Colleen teased.
"For real?" Patrick sat on the couch.
"Sure, I would even help, if you wanted me too."
"I would, but when?" Patrick was really thinking this true and the more he thought about living en femme, the more his insides tingled with delight.
"We could do it this weekend. There is a party tomorrow night, we both don't have classes on Friday anyway, plenty of time to get you ready."
"So soon?"
"Sure," Colleen started to explain her plan, "it's not like you have far to go. I mean you have hardly any body hair, never grew anything on your face, so that won't take us that long. Your hair is okay, we can do something with that, we can go to the mall tomorrow morning, get you a few nice outfits and you can have an all girl weekend."
"But what if people know it’s me, then what?"
"I hate to break it to you, but you aren't on the most popular list, you're AD&D friends don't usually make it to Friday parties and you keep so quiet in class I doubt people even know you show up."
"And what about you, why are you doing it, I mean helping me and all?"
"Like I said, I think its cool. Plus, you're my friend; I think it would make you really happy once you do. Think of it as an early birthday gift."
"That's two month's away."
"That's why it's an early gift." Colleen laughed.
"Okay," Patrick gave in, not sure this plan would work, "when do we start?"
"Right after dinner, get an early jump on tomorrow."
"Okay, but you'll have my back if anything goes wrong."
"Sure," Colleen promised, "just relax, you'll be great, now get dressed."
Patrick smiled and walked back to his room. He was nervous and giddy of the prospect of the next few days. He threw on a clean pair of underwear, a pair of blue jeans and a yellow collared shirt. It didn't take him that long to get ready, he figured it would be the last time for a few days that he could be dressed so quick.
He and Colleen drove to a small diner that was a few blocks from campus. They spent most of the time talking about school and less about the upcoming events, Patrick felt uneasy talking about that kind of stuff where people might hear and take offence. Colleen convinced him to write down his measurements on a piece of paper for her to pick up a few things for the night and early morning. She was surprised that their measurements were almost the same. Sure she had borrowed jeans from him a few times, but never suspected that he would be able to do the same. They agreed that colleen could get the car while she shopped and Patrick would walk back to the apartment.
Patrick sat on the couch as he nervously awaited the return of his friend. He had the stereo going as light music filled the air. He looked out the window every sixty seconds and in his mind he wondered if he may be getting himself into something way over his head. Finally Colleen pulled up in the old Chevy Cavalier. She entered the house with four or five bags from Wal-mart.
"I see you really went to town, high society kind of stuff." Patrick smiled.
"We will spend it on clothes from the mall, this is just get by stuff, we women have to be smart with our money."
"Let's see what you got," Patrick said as he helped unpack the bags. A package of panties, wax, a tube of lipstick, nail polish, sandals and a long cotton nightgown.
"What do you think?" Colleen asked.
"‘Part angel, part devil, all woman'" Patrick read off the nightgown.
"Yep, that's you, can you guess which part of you is the devil?" Colleen laughed.
Patrick blushed as he caught on to what she was saying. "So this is what I'll be sleeping in the next couple of nights."
"Yeah, I know it's a male myth that we women lounge around in silk teddies all night long just waiting for guys to call us, but sorry pal."
"I didn't think that you did. Um, what's the tape for?" Patrick asked holding up a roll of duct tape.
"Well, we got to hide the little devil don't we. Just be glad you go for the little boy look." Colleen was referring to the fact that he kept himself shaved in that area, a fact she recently found out.
"I suppose." Patrick said uneasily.
"Now, go tape it down and put on a pair of panties and we can get some things out of the way tonight and won't have to worry about it the next couple of days.
Patrick went into the bathroom with the package of panties and duct tape. He stripped down and tucked his manhood between his legs. He placed the tape over it, leaving space for if he had to go, and secured it out of site. He didn't want to think about how it would feel when he removed it. He pulled out a pair of cotton pink panties and slid them up his legs. He marveled at himself in the mirror, without Mr. Winky he looked much more like a girl then he imagined.
"So that's what I look like without it," he said as he walked back to the living room.
"Oh my God," Colleen screamed, "You look absolutely precious, and I knew you were going to chose the pink pair, just knew it."
"I take it that you approve." Patrick smiled
"Almost, just a few minor touches."
"Such as?"
"Well the tag goes on the left." Colleen laughed.
"What tag?"
"The ones on the panties, you got them on backwards."
"Oh," Patrick pulled them off and turned them around right in Colleen's presence, "I guess it's okay, it's not like you can see it." He explained.
"True. Now lets work on that body hair. You're lucky you just have to worry about your arms, pits and legs, you should be glad you don't have any on your chest and back."
"Why should I be glad?"
"Because waxing can be a little irritating."
"Oh, it can't be that bad."
"We'll see," Colleen said as she led Patrick to the kitchen. She put a jar of wax in the microwave and nuked it for the appropriate time. Patrick sat on the kitchen chair, still in just a pair of panties. After she removed the bottle of wax from the microwave she grabbed a handful of tongue depressors from a Cabinet.
"Relax a little bit, it's going to be a little hot," Colleen told him as she applied the wax to his leg.
"It's not that bad, is this what people complain about all the time." Patrick said as Colleen applied a strip of paper.
"No that's not what people complain about," Colleen looked up and smiled. "This is," she said as she tore the sheet of in a quick motion.
"Crap, that hurts, you trying to kill me." Patrick screamed. "What did you do, put twice as much on so you could teach me a lesson."
"No, this is what we girls have to do to look good, now don't be such a baby and let's finish before it gets too late."
"Oh great, more of this."
"Well that's because it's warm out, if it were winter you could get away with wearing sweaters and tights."
It only took an hour for Colleen to sufficiently de-hair Patrick. She took a secret pleasure in hearing him yelp every time she pulled off the wax strips. She especially liked it when she took care of his upper lip. But, the more and more she removed the hair, the more feminine Patrick looked. She likened him to a twelve year old who hadn't developed much. He was cuter as a girl she thought.
"Okay," Colleen announced, "We are all done, go take a look in the mirror on my door."
Patrick went into his roommate’s room; he was shocked as he looked in the almost full-length mirror. He thought that his legs looked especially feminine and was almost embarrassed by the idea. He slowly walked out of the room and down to the living room where Colleen waited.
"So, What do you think?" Colleen asked.
"I am speechless and amazed." Patrick admitted.
"Me to, Patty, I might have competition for dates." Colleen joked.
"Please don't call me Patty."
"Well I can't call you Patrick for the next few days, what do you suggest."
"How about just Pat, or Patricia?"
"Well I wouldn't go with Pat, reminds me of that character from SNL, but Patricia works nice."
"Thanks, I guess."
"Now here, put this on." Colleen handed Patricia the nightgown, and watched as it was put on.
"Feels kind of nice, even if it is just cotton," Patricia smiled.
The two girls stayed in the living room for a good while. Colleen helped fem Patricia up a little more. She painted Patricia's finger and toe nails a bright pink and taught her how to put on lipstick and other makeup so she could do for herself in the morning. Colleen also taught her how to remove it, so she didn't have to keep helping throughout the weekend. After they were done, they plopped a video into the VCR and had their first girls night in. Half way through the video, Patricia started crying after the lead actress lost her boyfriend in a car crash.
"It's okay," Colleen assured, "Just let it out."
"I'm not usually like this," Patricia tried to make an excuse.
"Well, it's your first night being like a girl, it's probably just over loading you a bit."
"No, that's not what I meant." Patricia said as she dried her eyes.
"Then what is it?"
"I'm not use to being the real me in front of someone else." The tears started to pour again.
"Oh, you could always be yourself in front of me. We're best friends."
"Thank you," Patricia said and then hugged Colleen for all she was worth.
The pair finished watching the movie and decided to head off to bed. Colleen to her room and Patricia to hers. She closed her eyes and imagined what life would of been like if she was always a girl. She wondered what kind of things Colleen and her would have done growing up if they were girlfriends. Would she of done girl scouts, or dancing, or a million other things. Patricia imagined each as she slowly drifted to sleep.
