Chinese Run away Bride

The wedding celebration started in a village in China. The community is in preparations for the wedding. The bride didn't like to marry that schmuck. The other girls helped her to run away. They prepared the other girl for the wedding in her place.

All her friends managed to keep the wedding guests busy in eating and drinking. They made all arrangements for the bride to escape from the village. She catches a train and came to Beijing. Her troubles began in the train itself as a ticketless traveler.

She luckily escaped the ticket inspector. She went to the pantry car and stole some food. The cooking staff chased her. She sat at the table with a stout guy and had dinner with him. The pantry staff could not see her. She followed the stout guy.

The stout guy went to sleep immediately. She slept beside him and the ticket inspector could not notice her. The train stopped at Beijing train station at early in the morning. The passengers walked out of the station. The ticket inspector recognized the girl and tried to stop her. She walked out of the station in front of the stout guy and ran.

She happened to see drunkards, thieves and street rowdies in the city. A thief robed her bag. The street rowdies tried to rape her. She escaped them. She ran to the cop to report. But the cop behaved nastily and she escaped the bad cop. She became hungry. She walked and walked in the city watching the skyscrapers and some times caused a heavy traffic jam. The traffic police were angry with her.

She was excited to see all the huge multistoried buildings and star hotels and the early morning busy life of the city. She saw a big restaurant. She went into the kitchen and tried to eat there. But she could not steal enough food. She changed her dress and sat at the table and ordered for all kinds of food. She didn't pay the bill. She walked in front of a stout man and escaped.

The restaurant security chased her. She walked in front of another stout man. The security surrounded the stout man. The stout guy got angry and started to kick the security personnel. The girl ran away from the fight and joined the crowd.

The crowd was waiting for the doors to open in front of a huge building. It's a big company complex. She joined the crowd and entered the huge elevator. She managed to hide among the people and escaped the sight of the elevator conductor. The staff members left at their respective floors.

The girl doesn't know how to operate the elevator. It's a multistory building. She goes to the top floor and comes down to the basement several times and finally gets to the terrace and watches the city form there. She is excited to see the city from the terrace. She ran this way and that way on the terrace.

The people from the street looked at her and thought that she was trying to commit suicide. All those who had mobile phones called the fire department to save her. She does not notice that the whole vehicle rush was because of her. The fire department rushed to the scene and really thought that she was about to commit suicide. She coolly walked down to the next floor and found the men's room. She took hot water bath while the whole fire department was on full alert.

In the men's room she listened to a conversation. The bad guys were planning to kill the owner of the company that day by giving him poison in his food or drink. The bad guys did not see the girl. They were talking their plans aloud. They started the job by calling the other bad guys in the company.

The girl entered into a guest room on the top floor. The owner of that company lives there in the daytime. That is his daytime guest room. He is getting ready to meet his foreign business partners. He walked to the elevator to go to the conference hall. The girl ran to him and told the situation. He did not believe her. He thought she was a crazy girl. He immediately called the security. She disappeared from his sight.

The security chased her. She ran away from them and came to the basement. But she thought that it is her moral obligation to reach the owner of the company and tell him about the bad guys' plan to kill him. She re-entered the building.

The girl wanted to save the life of the owner whenever the bad guys try to give him some thing to eat or drink. She had to escape from the bad guys and from the security personnel. And she had to save the owner's life at the same time. Even the owner did not believe her story. Whenever she tried to reach him, he called the security.

The girl learns about the whole building, city life, staff, telephone conversations, canteen, good guys and the bad guys. While running from floor to floor, she meets an office boy. She told him every thing. He believed her and he joined in her mission to save the owner's life. He made plans and taught her his plan. For an office boy like him, it was hard to reach the owner. He told her what she should do and how she must listen to him. He stole a walkie-talkie set and taught her how to use it. She got it wrong and the security personnel were after her. But the girl and the boy escaped the security staff.

Every time the bad guys plan some to do thing, the girl and the office boy spoiled it. The owner got hungry again and again because of his diabetes. But the girl and the boy saved him every time. Whenever the owner tried to eat or drink, the girl suddenly showed up and took off the food and drinks from him and disappeared from his sight.

She finally tries to reach the owner when he was about to eat the poisonous food. She told him about the poison and stopped him. The owner finally asked the bad guys to eat that food. The bad guys hesitated to eat any food or drink any drink. The owner then believed the girl. But he went into coma.

The security personnel were after her again. They both ran away from the building. The ambulance rushed to the company building. The boy and the girl dressed like the doctor and a nurse. They took him to the hospital. The security and the bad guys recognized the boy and the girl and they chased them.

The girl and the office boy escaped from the bad guys and the security and reported the matter to a bad doctor. The bad guys called the bad doctor and asked him to kill the owner. The boy and the girl saved him from the bad doctor. The good doctors called the good policemen and all the bad guys were arrested. The owner came back to his senses and wanted to eat some thing. But the girl and the boy stopped him. They first tasted the food and approved that it had no poison.

The owner understood the whole situation and promoted the office boy and gave a job to the girl. Finally the boy and girl both got married happily. The owner arranged their wedding in the conference hall. The wedding was over.

The owner called every one to eat and drink and make merry. He was about to eat a cake. The girl and the boy stopped him again. The boy and the girl wanted to taste the food first. But the owner found out that his second wife and her brother were the villains.

He stopped the boy and the girl and asked his second wife and her villainous brother to eat that cake. They unwillingly ate and died immediately. The owner gave all his property to the boy and the girl and appointed them over all the general managers and the managing directors.

** I am looking for a writer interested in creating a spec script. The script will take place in contemporary Mainland China. The story will focus on a young woman from China's provincial villages who 'escapes' (as the Chinese term it) to the westernized cities (like Beijing) rebelling against an arranged marriage and the traditional lifestyle of rural China. But the modern cities can be dangerous for a runaway. This film would be comparable to past films directed by Yimou Zhang, Kaige Chen, or possibly Kar-Wei Wong.

Ideally, I would like the writer to be a Chinese native familiar with life in Chinese villages, although I am certainly open to non-Chinese writers who have an extensive background and knowledge of Chinese culture.
