Cheer Witches

by

Paul G Jutras

It wall started with Paul raised his hand in math class and asked to go to the bathroom. As he went down the empty hall he had the feeling he was being watched. The bathroom door seemed to take longer than normal to close when he went in. Of course Paul thought it was just his imagination.

"Be done in a minute." Paul called out as he heard footsteps outside the stall. That was when he notice a pair of women's high heels hanging over his head with nothing inside of them. "They really should put more stalls in the boy's room."

"What in the world." Paul muttered to himself as he notice one of the heels drop into his lap while the other vanished like some invisible person was crawling into a passage in the ceiling.

Paul winced as he finished in the stall and went to check out the ceiling. The hole he thought he had seen the remaining shoe disappear into had sealed itself up. As Paul stood with the pump in his hand, he knew that it had really happened.

After thinking a minute, Paul decided that the best plan was to bring the shoe to the lost and find box in the principal office. His runner up plan was to forget the whole thing and just go back to class. Something he would wish he had done.

"You've seen too many movies about alien abductions." Paul thought to himself as he saw Principal Sandra Write walking to Lesley Wells. Paul notice that Lesley had on a yellow silk blue, blue skirt that dropped below the knees, tan hose and only one pump on her foot.

"Would you come in here a minute?" The Principal said as she eyed him through the open office door. Paul stepped into the office, handed the principal over the shoe and watched it be handed to Lesley. "Where did you find this?"

"In the hallway." Paul lied as the principal eyed Lesley.

"I see." Sandra said. "You may return to class."

After math class Paul found Lesley waiting in the hall for him. "I wanted to reward you for returning my shoe." She said as she handed him an envelope. When Paul opened it, he found an invitation inside.

"What's this about?" Paul asked. "You're inviting me to the football game this Wednesday or a date afterwards?"

"No silly." Lesley said. "I want you part of the cheerleading squad."

"But, I'm a boy." Paul reminded her.

"You're also good a flips and in the mascot costume nobody will know who you are." Lesley smiled. "If it will make you feel better we'll call you Paula while you're dressed up so not to embarrass you in front of the guys."

"You're going to cheerleading practice?" J.J. stood stunned as the final bell rang. "I thought we were going to shoot hoops in the park. "Since when did you start wearing mini skirts?"

"I'm not wearing a mini skirt." Paul shot back. "I'm only telling you because we normally hang out after school and it would be too hard to keep coming up with reasons I'm sticking around school. Lesley was impressed with me in gym class the year and asked me to wear that werewolf looking mascot costume the school has."

"That's a relief." J.J. said. "I was worried about you for a second."

As J.J. took off, Paul went to meet the girls in front of the school. For a bunch who was always worried about their weight, it was surprising they be standing before a vending machine. An out of order one at that.

"Why are we here?" Paul asked as Jennifer pressed the buttons B4 and the machine slid back into the wall and revealed a secret passage behind it. Keeping silent, Paul followed down the corridor to a staircase and reached and underground river. "Guess this is it then. A dead end."

"We got the rubber rafts tied over in the shadows." Marcia said as they all climbed aboard and waited for Paul to join them. As they rolled across to the far shore, Paul found a giant cheerleading statue come from the blackness. "My gosh."

"We'll show you the professional moves later." Lesley said with a smile as she held up a knife and made a small cut in the palm of Paul's hand. Just enough for a few drops to land on the base of the statue. "First the wicked initiation ceremony."

Paul got down on his knees when the girls did. He watched as they began to pray to the statue like it was a God. "What is this?" Paul asked. "A cheerleading squad or a witch cult?"

"Both." Marcia said as with a sinister smile on her face. "We all have powers. Lesley power is to become invisible and explain why you saw he shoes disappear into our ceiling passage. She made the mistake of putting the shoes on after she changed so they didn't change with her."

"What's your power?" Paul asked.

"Reading minds." Marcia said with a grin. "So watch what you think about my body. You'll learn the others in time."

"Do I get a power?" Paul asked.

"As mascot you get the power of the werewolf." Pam chuckled.

"What!?" Paul shouted in shock. He didn't like the idea of becoming a werewolf at all. That last thing he wanted was someone hunting him with a silver bullet. When the girls began to laugh, he calmed down.

"Don't worry." Monica assured him. "You won't become a werewolf. The ceremony has made you a were woman."

"Funny." Paul said, knowing they had to be joking. Such things weren't possible.

"Really." Lesley said. "I don't suppose you feel like some TURKEY?" She asked as Paul began to feel dizzy. In horror, Paul felt his head. Not only was his normally short hair now down by his shoulder, but his nails were pointed and polished. He notice he had on the same cheerleading outfit as the other girls. A white sweater, a red and white mini skirt, white sneakers. The first letter of the school in bright red looked awkward due to a pair of breasts poking out.

"Don't worry SUGAR." Lesley said as Paul found himself changed back. "You only change when the words are spoke by someone other than yourself. At least until you've proven yourself loyal. Then we'll hand control of the power over to you."

"Great." Paul muttered. "So you run the school."

"Pretty much." Monica said. "Thanks to Head Witch Sandra who showed us the passageways and how to do the blood spell of power."

After a rough night sleep of dreaming of being a man in cheerleading uniform during a football game, Paul was late in getting to English class. "You're late." Mr. Hardcase said. "Is it because you're report needed some finishing touches?"

"You wrote on the board it wasn't due until Monday." Paul said with confusion.

"Yesterday I told the class that I changed my mind and wanted it before the weekend." Mr. Hardcase glared. "Everyone else managed to get it in on time. If you didn't sleep in class you would of too."

As notice Pam staring at the English teacher in her cheerleading uniform. All of a sudden, Mr. Hardcase busted into flames. He tried to stop, drop and roll to put it out. The fire was magic and school got cancelled for the day while Principal Sandra dealt with the police and fireman. Her ability being to make people believe what she wanted them to. As; unknown to Paul, made him believe the shoe was found in the hall.

"Everything's okay, Paul." Paul thought to himself the night of the game. Paul's sisters and their parents were off to the game not knowing their son was suppose to be the mascot. "Just don't go to the game and they can't changed you into a girl. Maybe when they realize you don't want to be a witch, they'll leave you alone."

"Hey, Paula!" Lesley was suddenly heard from the front yard. "Get down here, you TUREKY!" In the sudden chill of darkness, Paula found herself laying in bed wearing her cheerleading uniform. "I got your mascot uniform in the car. You can get dressed in the girls locker room now that you've already changed."

"Please I don't want to be a witch." Paula said as the girls dragged her into the car and held her in while Lesley drove them to the game.

"You should of thought of that before going to the temple." Lesley said. "Now it's too late to turn back."

"Problem girls?" Sandra asked as they dragged Paula into the girls locker room.

"She doesn't want to be one of us." Monica said.

"We know you can change Paula's mind." Pam added.

"Sure I can." Sandra said as she looked into Paula eyes. "I already took care of her family." As she did with Paula's family, she made Paula forget she was ever Paul. While she was being the perfect mascot, Sandra left the game and changed Paul's bedroom and wardrobe to match her new body and life. "From now on, Paula will only use her gender changing ability for the squad. Perhaps to make sure any future boyfriends remain faithful to her." Sandra chuckled.
