A Better Solution Than Divorce
by Jennifer Allison
Jennifer
Last night was fun, we met over fifty people who are either in Dr. Knox's program or have completed the program and decided to stay switched or just decided to continue to live in Tolerance.
The kids I met are nothing like any I have met before. From yours and my own past experiences, we have seen what happens to new kids in town especially if they are different or let's say not normal.
There is no way you can consider me even remotely normal. I am thirteen year-old girl living in my fifteen year-old brother's body.
As I sit in my new homeroom, I was feeling really out of place. Dean and I found out just this morning another one of those things we will have to adjust to. I might be in my brother's body but I had only completed sixth grade. So here I sit with the other thirteen year-olds.
I know this bothers Dean more than it does me. Dean had always been the largest boy in his class. Now he is the smallest girl by two years in his class. Oh I forgot nine year-old Susan Blaylock is in the class ahead of Dean.
Janice has volunteered to help me adjust to my new school. I have already met most of the kids over the internet so it isn't as much of a shock to them or to me.
I did do one thing that might be considered out of place. In the locker room before and after gym class I did spend a lot of time comparing my fifteen year old dick to those of the thirteen year olds.

I always like being the largest boy in my class so today was something straight out of a nightmare for me. Here I was a freshman in the body of my thirteen year-old sister. Anthony Blaylock wasn't that much help since he was a junior and as in most high schools, juniors and freshmen don't mix. Even though she was in nine year-olds body, she was still a junior.
I found out there were at least ten other students in Doctor Knox's program attending the local school just as I am. Two of them were Freshmen, so they both agreed to help me adjust.
My first day started out just peachy. Five minutes into homeroom I was called to Mr. Skinner's (vice principal) office.
"Miss McLean, I have read about your past history at your last school," Mr. Skinner said to me. "I have only one thing to say. Don't even think about repeating any of those incidents." Mr. Skinner then stood and pulled a paddle from behind his desk. This wasn't just any paddle. One side was flat and smooth the other side was also flat but had 1/2 inch holes drilled into it. "I have the permission of the parents of every student attending my school to use this. I don't use it that often but I do when needed. For the first infraction I used the smooth side, the second the hole side. I haven't had a third infraction in the five years I have been vice principal."
"Are you allowed to spank a girl?" I asked.
"Yes I do as long as I have my secretary present." he informed me. "You do have the right to challenge my right to spank you for any violations of the school's rules. You have the right to talk to Principal Davanport. She will decide if you are being wronged or if I am within my rights. I would suggest you don't abuse the right to challenge."
He must have seen the worried look on my face.
"Jennifer you are starting with a clean slate here. As far as your past history, it is out the window. The reason we're having this conversation is that I wanted you to know I knew all about your past performance. I am giving you a fair warning. Don't even think about trying any of your past antics."
I then asked, "do these rules and punishments apply to all the students?"
"Yes they do. I play no favorites," he replied. "You may return to your class."

The local real estate agent set us up with a beautiful ranch style house which included a stable. Upon seeing the stable both Dean and Jennifer expressed an interest in having a horse of their own. I stayed at home the first day. Since we took our ever loving time making the trip our household goods were arriving today.
The Movers
"I told you>this family was strange when we packed their stuff," Bob said to Al.
"Yeah, take a long look at the Doc. When we packed he was dressed and smelled very feminine. Now look at him. You could use his picture in the dictionary for masculine," Al said. "I even noticed that he is wearing boxers."
"But what confuses me is when I call him Doc. He acts like he doesn't hear me," said Bob. "To get his attention I have to tap him on the shoulder."
"I will happy to get this job over and done with," Al told his partner.
"So will I," Bob said in return.

I was at my new office at 8 sharp. The first appointment wasn't until 10 so I used the time to get acquainted with the staff and the office setup.
"This is Sam Shepard, she has been with me before I moved to Tolerance," Amanda introduced me to her head nurse who just happen to be a fifty year-old man.
Amanda must have noticed the questionable look on my face.
"Sam and her husband are also part of Dr. Knox's program. Her better half owns and operates one of the local gas stations."
I then asked a question I should have asked earlier. "How do the patients handle the idea that you were once a man?"
"A lot better than most people would think. When a man or woman has a doctor of the opposite sex there is a great reluctance to discuss personnel problems. Our patients don't have that problem since they know that you and I know what it is like to be the other sex."
"I know when a male doctor examines a woman, a nurse has to be present during the exam. What is your procedure in this matter?"
"I have Sam and also a young female nurse who hasn't come to work yet. I normally leave it up the patient. Most of my patients have it listed in their records whether or not they would like some one else in the room during the exam. They can also tell the nurse during the time they are taking the BP and such that they want someone else in the room. Also no one under the age of twenty-one will be examined alone. In your case, you can most likely count on having someone else in the room until our patients get used to you."
For an hour we just sat and talked about Tolerance and what would be required of me during the next six months. Shortly before ten the waiting room filled up. It seemed like the Tolerance Police Department decided to hold a meeting in our waiting room.
Amanda explained why all the badges were in the waiting room. "All city employees of Tolerance are required to have a physical every year. I set up a day a year for that purpose. There is also a day for physicals in July. It's for the students needing one for school activities."
I spent most of my first day telling patients to bend over and cough.
When I arrived home I found my wife and the kids along with about twenty of our new friends and neighbors putting our new house in order.
It felt good to sleep in our old bed again.

For the next week I was the new kid in school. If any of you readers had to move in the middle of a school year you know what I had to go through.
When I awoke the following Monday. I felt different in some way. A few of my joints hurt and I felt I needed to take a shit but couldn't. The clothes I had put out the night before to wear to school felt tight.
Just I finished dressing Dean entered my room and said. "I would suggest that you change into something more loose fitting. You will also want to put this inside your panties." Jennifer then handed me a sanitary napkin. "You are about to have your first visit from the period fairy."
"Why can't I used a Tampon?" I asked.
"Tampons are not made for girls your age," Jennifer replied. "Don't give dad a bad time for the next couple days either. Mom and I had our periods on the same day so he is going through his first visit this week too."
At school every girl knew it was my time of the month.
"Janice how did you know it was my time of the month," I asked at the first opportunity.
"Boys can't tell, but a girl will notice right away when a girl is wearing more loose fitting clothing than normal. Don't worry about all the girls knowing. Within a month you'll know when their periods are too. Mine is next week."
Thursday morning I awoke to a bloody napkin.
Richard
This week I learned a very hard lesson. I will never, I mean never complain again when one of my female co-workers takes off because it is their time of the month. If I could have gotten away with it I would have.
By the second week I was handling 80% of the patients coming to the office. Amanda was just doing those that she thought needed her services.
Amanda told me up front that very Monday. "Next month I won't be here to help. So it is best that you learn to live and work with your time of the month."
The look on my face must have said something like, "how did you know it was my time of the month?"
"Your wife told me," she said before I could ask.
At the end of the first four weeks into the program. We were all living like we were still in the same body we were born with.
Then something happened that changed our whole situation.
