Around The World In 30 Days

by

"What do you think?" Christine Jackmarr said as she sat on a couch with his fiancé, Mary Roberson. Chris was dressed in red sleeveless evening gown and matching shoulder length gloves and high heels. Mary was dressed in a matching green gown minus the gloves. Clark and Lois sat across from them. "It will be a race with us using as little super powers as we can."

"A real race that reflects that classic story book would make a good write up for The Daily Planet." Lois said as she wore the top half of a blue and white strip pajamas while Clark wore the bottom half. "I always like being part of the action. Since my husband got the first interview with "Superman", I want the first interview with "American-man."

"The ring master the circus owes Superman a favor." Clark said. "Since it's as few powers as possible and not no powers at all, Lois can write it up how Superman and American-man charity events helped pay for Lois and Clark and Mary and Christine to get around world. A few Super tricks at the circus this afternoon should more than pay for Lois and Clark traveling out with them tonight."

"Being the head singer in my rock group, I've rocked up a few favors without revealing my other identity as well." Christine said as her bi-sexual fiancé wrapped her arms around her and put her head on her shoulder.

"For all those fans of Superman, make sure to head down to the visiting circus." Clark said on the GBS news show. "The Man of Steel will be putting on a one time show to help us some friends."

"Perfect." Lex Luthor thought in his new secret lab. "With that super spoilsport in Metropolis, it will be my chance to get his alien technology out of his home in the Antarctic."

That afternoon Lois changed out of a red and white blouse, blue blazer, mini skirt and pumps and into a white leotard, tights and ballet shoes. With no net, Superman and Lois performed on the high wire and Trapeeze.

"Red Alert everyone!" The sub captain shouted as a neon red light shined off of the dark metal plates of the sub's hull. Coming out of his quarters were Christine dressed in a white blouse with a green blazer, skirt and pumps. Her legs wrapped in a pair of suntan pantyhose. Beside her Mary was wearing a green turtle neck with gray sweat pants, black flip flops and suntan hose than showed off both her purple toe polish and he toe ring.

"What's going on?" Christine asked the Captain the two reached the bridge.

"Lex Luthor's ship has been spotted on the surface." The captain said with urgency. "The pirate must be after my sub's nuclear weapons."

"More likely looking for Superman's fortress," thought Christine. "Everyone knows it's in this area somewhere."

Mary pulled Christine aside as depth charges exploding outside, shook the ship. "You have to change to American-man." Mary said. "You've got to stop him."

"Where's Superman when you need him." Christine said as she slipped her way into the torpedo room. "I had hoped to use my powers as little as possible in the bet with Clark and Lois."

Drawing her sword aloft, Christine called to the Heavens for help. "LET JUSTICE BE DONE!" With magic bolts of lighting that would strike her, but not harm her surroundings, American-man stood where Christine was a moment before.

"This has got to be fast." American-man thought as he climbed into one of the torpedo launch tubes and had his bi-sexual fiancé launch him from the sub into the dark, cold water. He rocketed up to the surface and split the ship in two with an energy beam from his left hand.

"Got you!" American said as he caught Luthor in mid air.

"Who are you?" Lex asked. "You're either the big red S or his sissy counter part Captain Marvel."

"The name is American-man, and you'd best get use to it for a while." American-man said as Hal Jordan showed up and created a net with his Green Lantern ring. "Take him to jail while I check on the sub, Lantern."

Moving at super speed, American-man vibrated through the hull of the sub and changed back to Christine. "You made it back just in time." Mary said as some of the officers came into the room to check on their two guests.

"We're surfacing to check for damage." The officer said as he led the two from the torpedo room. "You didn't pick the safest part of the sub it hide you know. Unless you thought a human could escape through a torpedo tube."

"Image that." Mary giggled.

The two put on some fur lined jackets and carried their shoes in their hands as they went up the ladder to the surface. Christine wiggled her toes in the snow before slipping into her shoes. "That's for the help of getting us, but I think I see another ride that came with Lantern."

Slipping behind a bank of ice and snow, Christine transformed to American-man. He quickly scooped his fiancé in his arms and few off. "I hardly think this is cheating since our race doesn't include super villain interference."

"Agreed," replied Mary. She was feeling frostbite enough as it was. "Do you know if Superman's fortress is in this area?'

"I think that giant key down there might be pointing the way." American-man said as he went further to pointing to a giant lock in the face of an ice cliff. "If it wasn't booby trapped I'd take you for the tour The Man of Tomorrow gave me."

"If anyone here is the man of tomorrow, it's you." Mary said as she referred to the fact that American-man made his first appearance in the year 3086. "I'm just glad you stayed in the past for me."

Meanwhile in Europe, Lois and Clark was getting by no better. Military shells exploded all around as two of the world's greatest reporters found themselves being kept safe by The Creature Commandos.

"Velcro, keep an eye of our guests and no using them as a filling station," The snake haired Dr. Medusa said to her vampire companion.

"This is unbelievable." Lois said she kept her head down while a shell exploded. Now dressed in a leopard print blouse, tan slacks, stockings that showed off her pink toe polish and sling back, she turn to her husband in his light blue suit. It may not have a red S on it like his other outfit, but it still gave her comfort. "I remember reading about these soldiers in old news reels about World War 2."

Just then the patchwork mute giant dived on top of her and shielded the one few knew as Mrs. Superman with his mighty form. "Arrghhh!"

"You okay?" Clark asked as he let loose with a semi-automatic at monsters that were as much out of a horror movie as their allies.

"We've heard you were something of a wimp, Mr. Kent." The werewolf of the group growled. "Guess when the safety of a woman is involved every man finds their backbone."

"You're as good with a gun as Lt. Shrieve was back in the war." Dr. Medusa said. "Unfortunately he was an immortal freak like the rest of us outcasts. When he died I was that I was dead too."

"Must be hard to be more than human," Lois said as she looked toward her husband before she continued to fire her own gun given her at a female vampire dressed in red leather that matched her hair color.

The glob hopping last for only 30 days thanks to the need of super heroics causing them to speed on them on their. The heroes went from American-man catching The Mirror Master in Central City to Superman stopping Solomon Grundy in the swamps of Florida. They even ran into one another and Captain Marvel if Fawcert City. It wasn't long before both heroes landed at the city limits of Metropolis with their women in their arms.

"The Daily Planet is the finish line." Superman said as he moved in and out of a phone booth quickly to change back to Clark Kent. American-man stepped into the shadows of an empty alley and let his own energy disperse to change back to Christine Jackmarr.

"Time to finish this the old fashion way, asked Christine.

"Wouldn't have it any other way," Clark replied.

"Just a second you guys." Lois said as she removed her black spike pumps that went with her black ankle length skirt and brown blouse with semi-transparent sleeves. "These heels are too high for a foot race."

"Who said anything about a foot race?" Mary said in her red tank top, black skirt and black Mary Jane shoes. Putting her fingers to her mouth, she whistled for a taxi.

"Good thinking." Christine said in her sailor style blouse, blue ankle length skirt and pumps. A cool breeze blew against her bare ankles and of her skirt.

"Now what, Smallville?" asked Lois.

"That city bus is about to leave for down," Clark said as he made Lois almost drop her shoes when he grabbed her arm and dragged her toward the stop. "We'll just make it at normal speed."

As a traffic jam brought everything to a stop downtown, Clark and Lois jumped off the bus and headed the last few blocks on foot while Christine paid the taxi driver and followed.

As they reached the news room the team of Lois and Clark got to the finish line first. Perry, Jimmy and the rest all cheered. While Jimmy snapped the photo he had to ask.

"How was your whirl wind trip around the world?"

"It was Super, Jimmy." Clark answered with a wink to Lois. "Just super."

THE END
