Author Name

This should be your pen name, not your real name, unless you prefer to have your stories posted under your real name. There is never any reason to disclose your real identity here on StorySite. Some authors have regretted posting their real names in later years so I strongly suggest that you consider the matter carefully before registering your name.

Enter your FULL author name in this entry box. Later, when submitting a story for posting, you will have to enter it the same way so that the system can match your story form with your author database record. If your pen name is Wonderful Tobea Woman, and you later submit a story and enter Wonderful Woman in the author field, it won't be accepted by the system because the names don't match.

Single names, such as Donna or Sarah, may seem desirable, but you become easily confused with others, and people in chatrooms will always be asking you if you are Donna so-and-so, or Sarah so-and-so, so I recommend the use of two names for your pen name. You can always use just your first name in chat-rooms, but at least you've established a unique identity on your stories. My pen name is C. Sprite, although everyone knows me as Crystal. 

Be extra careful when entering your name. Check the spelling at least twice because this field is the most important part of the record. Although the other fields can be changed later by you, this entry CANNOT.
