One of the most beautiful stories I have ever read. I loved it. It even brought tears to my eyes.

Hi Lorraine.
For a boy, I think he has adapted much quickly as a girl.
But you wrote a good story, and I liked, keep writing!
Kisses.
Silvia.

Thank you for a wonderful emotional story, for the insight, pain, sorrow, anger and towards the end of joy, hope and some form of peace and closure. Thank you again Paul.

Lorraine:

This is one of my favorite stories, as I've read it many times.

(I don't recall *how* many, though. ;)

Small correction, though.

I *may* be wrong, but I *think* that Foley catheters are used by  hospitals with both female *and* male patients. (Although I suppose that there *may* be *two* versions of that device, one designed for men, and one designed for women.)

I've undergone quite a few surgical procedures--approximately 25, roughly 19 of which were for the same condition (I'm hydrocephalic; that is, I have what used to be called "water on the brain"). I've undergone two surgeries for that condition in the past two months alone, and I seem to recall the hospital using a Foley catheter at least once, if not more often.

A well written story...but although it is better developed as a 'story' than the average writing in this vein, there are still many holes and details missing. I don't mean to criticise, I would love to see literature such as this being published by the main houses, but ir would require a little more (yes) detail, a lot more savagery (necessary), and the ability to be read both as a 'Mills & Boon' and as a 'Wham Bam Thank You Ma'am', if you want to reach a mass audience. I wish you luck, because, with some small adjustments, the possibility is there

I really enjoyed your story.  It was heart felt.  I was happy and sad.  I cried.  I used tolet paper instead of Kleenex. :).  I felt that you did a wonderful job.  I touched my heart to be able to feel the emotions that the people had.  Love is grand.  Caring for one another is so important to our lives.
Thank you for sharing this wonderful story.  Keep up the good work.
Love,
Becly

this was a well written storie,,,but there was not a closure for either rape,,,no revenge, for what happened..there was no peace of mind  ,,there was not sufficent punishment , for the police,,the politicians or the rapeist.  this is just my way of thinking,,sorry if i'm wrong,,,william

Dear Lorraine:

Enjoyed your story as a coherent and well crafted piece. In my estimation the last quarter of your story was quite different than the first three quarters. The first and biggest part was riveting and told us the story by showing us the story. In my estimation the last part failed to do that, and got stuck in telling us about what was happening. I am sorry but that was disappointing to me.  I still enjoyed your story and did finish it but found myself skimming the end.  Please keep your style all the way to the end.  This is only meant to be constructive and I did enjoy your story. It is a transformation due to violence that was quite distinct from all others of similar plot and that is not always the case. Above, I am not referring to the contraction at the end of the story you used to save time, that was acceptable though I think you underestimate our curiosity about the heroine. We want to know how she fared with Dad and in trying got be a boy as well. You know we readers are greedy and we want to know it all. Actually we really care about Jamie Katherine. Thank you for your efforts I will be reading more of your work.

Hugs,

Kristi

I am 72 years old and I too used a lot of kleenex. Beautiful story.

A story full of sorrow and joy! I had to force myself read it at first as I thought the message was worth it. The anciety of poor hero came so clearly through. Rape in all its forms is simply the most hineous violation of a human being.

But then it turned on being sweeter and well ... like I would hope to be if it wre possible and I were 15 or 20 years younger!

Hugs from Sissy Baby Paula and Snowball (my toy puppy)

Such a strong and emotional story. I didn't think I was going to read it when I read the synopsis and almost quit near the begining. I finished it and shed some tears along the way.

Well you have done it. I'm now a real fan and I need a new box of Kleenex. Thank you, Sally.
