txZoPB It as difficult to find well-informed people on this topic, however, you seem like you know what you are talking about! Thanks

Ben has been one of the closest frnieds I've ever had. He was my best shopping buddy, always up for a random trip to Freddies, Ross, or anywhere else between classes. We've had lots of random adventures, spilled a lot of coffee, and braved the crazy world of Clatsop together. One time, I had printed out directions on how to get to Urban Outfitters in Portland. I was driving, and he was supposed to be my navigator. He was horrible at reading directions, and we ended up completely lost, but we both had a blast. We eventually found it, no thanks to his navigation skills. Ben made normally stressful situations fun because of his easy-going attitude and sense of humor.Ben is also the funniest person I've ever known. He liked to make our group watch  scary  movies like Jurassic Park or Jaws and he would hide behind the couch and scare us, or attack us with pillows, when we least expected it. Ben also introduced me to Lost and loved scaring me during the suspenseful parts because he thought it was so hilarious when I screamed and freaked out.I miss you Ben, I'm praying for you all the time. I'm so glad we had the chance to make so many memories during the last couple years, and I want you to get better soon.

Beverly Taff is one of the most gifted writers I have had the pleasure to read. I stumbled across Taff's Mares several years ago, a delightful series of stories, and it has been tooo long for me to be away. I read Space Tran and immediately became engrossed by it, I couldn't stop reading it! Parts of it truly brought tears to my eyes for the treatment of young Beverly. I also left home at an early age, 12, but was gifted enough in mechanical skills, and looked older than my male age, buying beer at 13 was no problem, That I didn't have to go throught the horrors that Beverly had to. I became tran about 7 when I was knocked unconscious at school and wet myself. My mother brought my sisters underwear as she couldn't find mine, and I loved how it felt, so much softer than my own. The natural progression came and my sisters were always missing clothes. I could never pass as female, but live pretty much in solitude, and dress as I please, except in public, where I have to be male on the outside at least. I am almost 60 now and still have a great physique, sometimes with a little help, lol. All I can say is Beverly, you are the greatest and please keep up the great work! LW

What a wonderful story.  I especially appreciated how you added real life situations which for moments gives cause for the readers to reflect on their own lives if they are Trans. Since I am Trans it caused me to reflect on my own life.

Anyway, it is a very nice story I think even though for the most part I am not a Sci-Fi fan really.

I am impressed that some one has taken upond themselves to write about the back side of our lives and to do so in sure a manner that tells the true stories that are real life . I am also very glad that I found the story about space tran and after reading the story and when i got to the second last chapter found the added note about telling of other stories about the back side of our very mixed up world . I am proud to say that I enjoyed reading this story and would continue to read any and all of the writings of Beverly Taff . Please continue to do your very best to bring to us these wonderfull reading for a long time to come .  once again I love these stories and please continue to bring us your best.

This is a very intellegently written series.  It deserves high marks for character development, plot, and story line.

The petty, provincial attitudes regarding sexuality, gender, and the real nature of 'humanity' are gently, but soundly, put aside in a truly enlightened approach.  Even the weaknesses and foibles of the main characters are used to highlight the ideals of individual expression.

The author is to be commended for good understanding of the cultures, habits, and customs of the various locales used in the story.

From the style and spelling of the story, one would surmise the author to be English.  Regardless, the story receives high marks for its technical aspects as well.  There were only a few instances where closer proof reading would suggested.

While science fiction may not be to everyone's taste, this should be a 'must read' for all 'humans'.

Another excellant chapter of this fine story. The adventures of Beverly and Ruby continue to amuse and amaze us. The weapons add a different note but we hope they are strictly for self-defense.

As a fan of science fiction, I find this story to be excellent.  I especially like the amphibian planet.  As a closet TV, I have full empathy for Beverly's (character) fears and worries.  As a human being and a parent, I find myself caring deeply about Beverly, Ruby, and their children.  To the author Beverly, I am looking forward to further chapters.

Part four only goes to confirm the strength of Beverly's writing and the story she is sharing with us.

I just thought I would thank you for your story of Spacetran.  I had flashbacks to my favorite reading of long ago.  Of EE Doc Smith's "The Skylark Series" and James P Hogan's "The Gentle Giants of Ganymede" and "Inherit the Stars".  These stories of yours fit right in with these great authors, and I look forward to a continuation of "Spacetran".

You could go very far with a lead story such as this and you should gain a far reaching crowd of followers.  EE Doc Smith and James P Hogan were very well known and loved even 30 years later and still have a following.

I beg of you to continue the story where you left it in part 3.  I would love to follow Beverly in her treks across the universe.

A loyal follower already

Beverly,
What a story, I am a fan of Sci/fi and find myself trying to learn more about "people".  Your story is especially intriuging.  I hope to folloe thier "trek" across the stars.

The story begins differently than most but the differance is refreshing. How it progresses is yet to be seen. The writing is good with faifly good detail and description. The plot line is still young enough to make one where it is going.

Can't wait to see what develops.

The importance of reader feedback cannot be overstated.   Authors rely on it to improve their future works, and it gives them the incentive to write more stories if they know that their hard work has been appreciated.  I am not saying that comments must all be lauditory.  Authors often appreciate honest, constructive criticism over simple remarks like 'Great story', although simple praise is appreciated also.  There is no limit on how much you can enter in the 'comments' box.   Sentences will automatically word wrap at the end of the line so please do not use your carriage return/enter key except at the end of your paragraphs.
