I went to tons of links befroe this, what was I thinking?

He was betrayed and blackmailed by the only friend in who he confided during all his life. The person that he thought that was his best friend.
I think that Paula, Mary, Julie and Fran, might be arrested, sued and suffer from remorse by the rest of their lives.
I don't like betrayers. Bad story.

good story hard reading to try to be someone your not is very hard brilliant well done more please

Bittersweet.  The Everly rothers sang, "So sad to watch good love go bad.", but it may be even worse to watch a really good friendship go bad.  I would hope that Tomi (?) and Paula would make up some time in the future.

I just found and read the reunion story.  It has to be at the top of any list, TG or other.  This is a well written, well told tale of bittersweet life.  Though the ending is not happy, as the author put it, it is the best of the situation.  I have enjoyed other of Marti's stories and look forward to reading more.  Well Done! and Thank You, so very much, for sharing this with us.

This is the kind of story I enjoy - dealing with people's feelings and experiences without getting into the graphic, physical stuff.  I appreciated how the story was crafted, the author has a marvelous narrative style that kept my attention through out.  I look forward to reading more stories by Marti B.

I found this to be a well written, somewhat bittersweet story which appealed to the romantic in me.It could even be the biography of a late developing transsexual. I thought it a pity that Paula and Marti's long friendship did not survive but I suppose that's life and after all , it did have a happy ending. I'm happy too, thank you.

PS It would seem that the previous reviewer ,Dianne Sutton?  has similar tastes to myself and makes appropriate comments but being in before me leaves me little to say or requiring me to think of another way to say it.......(smile)

Some stories I read I would like to just quit while I'm ahead. This is not one of them, I totally enjoyed Marti's story. She has the ability that she can tell a story and only reference the sexual part of the story without going into overused details. It was an indearing story that many authors find hard to comprehend. Hopefully the talents of people like Marti, will become more appreciated, with time more people will feel the need to express their comments on her stories. At least that is my hope. I did find a few grammar errors, but Marti, is such a fine writer that we tend to forgive those little things.
