Signing a surgery consent form without knowing in advance exactly what will be done?  No,I don't think so!!!  Otherwise the story was a tribute to family values.

Janet, your story was so good that I have to respond again. you tell a tale of  boy's journey into womanhood that was made possible when he started wearing Gina's stuff. He blossomed into Anne after Gina's death. Poor Mom, after the contest, she vanishes from the story as anne becomes the woman she was meant to be. A good story of love and acceptance Ifyou continue this story, tell of mom and Anne reconnecting and Anne's motherhood.,

Janet, the only thing I don't like about this story is Gina's death. But then i am a hopeless romantic. Why was Mom so absent after the contest? Did Ann feel hatred  for her? Janet, this story can use a revisit like you did to Savannah. But it does show how sneaky a mom can be.

Another in a long list of accomplishments for this talented author. I have always enjoyed reading her stories and this is no exception. I had expected a slightly different ending with her beauty contest, still that's what makes reading her stories so interesting. You just can't guess at what she will do, she will surprise you at every turn.

Very well written and I loved the way you laid the story out.

wonderful story. I enjoyed how Gina brother took her place by being talk into it by mom and the wonderful descriptions that brought story to life.

The importance of reader feedback cannot be overstated.   Authors rely on it to improve their future works, and it gives them the incentive to write more stories if they know that their hard work has been appreciated.  I am not saying that comments must all be lauditory.  Authors often appreciate honest, constructive criticism over simple remarks like 'Great story', although simple praise is appreciated also.  There is no limit on how much you can enter in the 'comments' box.   Sentences will automatically word wrap at the end of the line so please do not use your carriage return/enter key except at the end of your paragraphs.
