And many, many hugs to you, too, Lisa Elizabeth, for your precious stories!  How nice for a boy to begin a new year by going to Mass and receiving Communion as a girl.  I've noticed, too, through the years, that many traditional girls' First Communion outfits resemble wedding gowns, although real brides would not have sported bare legs, white bobby sox, and  black Mary Janes.  I've also occasionally thought of a situation in which a brother and sister, receiving First Communion on the same day, arrive back home after Mass and switch each other's clothes for a little fun to make the day extra memorable.  Perhaps they can pick up good character traits of the opposite gender.

Dear Miss Lisa Elizabeth,

I, "wandered," over to your Stories from, "Donna Anne's" stories.

This is another beautiful and tender story. Parents and family are accepting the chance that they might really hsve a daughter, who was born as a boy.

I have to be up at 2:30 tomorrow morning for work. This is the type of story, that I'll tell my Teddy Bear about. It makes you feel good on the inside.

On a side-note, I thought, that my family wad the only family that ate herring on New Year's Eve. Did you, "do," Oyster Stew after Midnight Mass, too?

I often wish that my Mom had raised me as a girl. I had three sisters. I could have saved them some hard-earned money, if I wore Nancy's hand-me downs. (sigh) Since my day-job doesn't allow, "heels," I wear my Mary Janes almost all the time. At home, however, my Mary Janes have 3.5-inch heels.

Even, when I'm lector at Mass, I may be in a suit and tie, but I carry my purse and wear my M.J.'s About ten years ago, my Wife had me sew all my pockets closed so I would always have a need for my purse.

Although, I may be in a Tuxedo, but when I take my grand-daughters to the Boston Ballet, I wear my Mary Janes and carry my purse. I feel very feminine with the girls and my daughter-in-law feels no bra-band on my back, when I get my hugs.

Again, a very pretty story and just perfect to be the last that I do, before bed.

"Missy," Susan Pauline
