I asked a friend of mine today if she'd read anything on Storysite lately that she enjoyed.  She recommended this story.  As I started reading it, I realized that I had read it before.  Still, I couldn't stop re-reading it.  And, as the ending brought tears to my eyes, I remembered that it had brought tears to my eyes the first time, too.  This is a very sweet, loving, and compelling story.

What can I say...yet another great story and another one that I reread frequently.

I think this is a beautiful story. the charecters are so well developed and believable. The plot is believable and speaks for the intelligence and human warmth of Ms. Michelle. I have enjoyed many stories at this site, but this one is a jewel. Ms. Michelle I applaud your talent as a writer. I look forward to reading all of your stories.

A beautiful story with believable characters and events.  One does not need to suspend disbelief for this tale.  Samantha shows psychological insight and all her characters are well-developped.  Even the minor characters are fully rounded, not the mere cardboard cutouts one so often meet.  This is a touching tale that ends in happiness, told with love.

A compelling tale that begins in torment and ends in redemption. Samantha is a gifted storyteller who weaves the patterns of her Indian baskets with psychological depth, vivid details, characters that your heart aches for, and love. Much love. Emmie

New Story from Samantha checklist.  Box of Tissue, washcloth, Eyeglass
cleaning stuff.

Another emotional roller-coaster tale you have weaved. The joining
together of young lives with problems and the hope and love that overcame those problems. The images that your word paint in the eye of the reader mind. The run in the storm cause by his fear, and also Alexi first formal dressing for dinner, are just 2 parts that stand out in my mind, in this tale.

Blessed Be!

Once again another story from a very prolific author that had me in tears and smiles from beginning to end. Thank You.

A sadly sweet story of a victim of forced feminization. A very well written story by one of the very best authors. And the ending is a little different than what is expected from the way the story has progressed. If I was to rate this it would get a 9.90, one or two very minor flaws.

Resolution.  Acceptance...forgiveness...wholeness.  All in this
wonderful story.  You've done other tales about camps for feminine
boys, and they all have this magic touch.  How I admire you!

Samantha.
I'm sitting here with a smile on my face and tears in my eyes having just read your latest story, ESCAPEE.  This is a tremendously well written and well thought out story with a twist ending which I liked VERY much.  Samantha, thank you for this one.  In my humble opinion, you have written a story that will stand the  test of time and, likely become a classic in this genre.  VERY, very well, done!
                                    Cathy_t_ said that!

The importance of reader feedback cannot be overstated.   Authors rely on it to improve their future works, and it gives them the incentive to write more stories if they know that their hard work has been appreciated.  I am not saying that comments must all be lauditory.  Authors often appreciate honest, constructive criticism over simple remarks like 'Great story', although simple praise is appreciated also.  There is no limit on how much you can enter in the 'comments' box.   Sentences will automatically word wrap at the end of the line so please do not use your carriage return/enter key except at the end of your paragraphs.
