Oh My!  Thinking back on how we met the Suprunowski family.  Well, I posnerally, with my family, the Woolliscrofts, was introduced to the Dunes Bible Camp back in 1976 or 77ish., attending camps from then on out as my parents became more and more involved, helping out with counseling, in the kitchen and maintenance around the camp.  Is that 35 years ago? WOW! (that would explain why my brain is a little  foggy  thinking back on it all     Anyway, I believe that the first time that I met Ben, he was in the belly of his mama,  IT'S A BOY !  I remember the excitement of John and Karen getting their BOY.  Danae was just a little toddler and Britt & Bethany were early elementary age.  Which is when our children, Jessalynn (Brittney's age) and Zachary (Bethany's age) first met.  As the years went on and my father had retired from Weyerhauser, my parents, Jess and Kathi were hired on  as staff  and moved to the beach, just retiring recently, after close to 20  years.   Our children grew up going to the camp every summer, just as I did, and spent time with their  Grandpa and Grandma throughout their growing up years, which is how their relationships with the Suprunowski family developed and grew.  My parents were very much involved with the Suprunowski kid's lives, attending  many of their school and sport events, cheering them on all along the way.   In fact, they called my parents Uncle Jess and Aunt Kathi growing up. The Suprunowskis family stands out to us as being very loving towards EVERYONE in our family, always warm and genuinely kind to us,  our children AND our parents throughout these many years!!!   Our children have remained friends even into their adult married years and now with children of their own.  It is incredible how fast the time goes by.  This is how we met and how we know the Suprunowski family. Our God is faithful and we are trusting Him, with you all, for Ben!!!  Love, DeWayne and Kathy

I think the diffrence between this being a story with a happy ending or not is whether or not Samantha remembers being Sam.  If she does, then it's a happy ending and I'm sure he will enjoy her new life.  If not, then Circe murdered sam and created Samantha; Sam can't enjoy anything anymore.

Short, short stories aren't normally my cup of tea, but I find I'm reading yours. I wish I had so many ideas that I could afford to be so prolific with them as you are.  I rather liked Circe's nom de guerre.  Diana Jaeger is delightfully appropriate in the circumstances.

I like stories with a dark part, even when there is a happy ending.  This is one of those.  I would have liked it longer,  but yours is a superb treatment.  Congratulations.

A fine short story of punishment and reward. In Ann's usual good form of fine writing with good detail and description. She spins a tale that has only one short coming, its length. It has the feel of a story that could be three times longer and still be too short.

Good story and idea...wish it had been a bit longer.

Anne.
My GOODNESS but you are turning out to be a prolific newcomer!  I am very impressed with your ability to spin a tale and I am enjoying all your stories very much.  I am also impressed by the range of the stories.  You seem to be able to switch gears from serious and dark to light and bright without too much trouble at all.  Very, very impressive, Anne.  Kudos and a tip of the old hatlo to ya!
