Dawna, I really was impressed with your story. I tired to contavt you on the listed e-mail address and was kicked back. Also, had no luck with Amazon trying to find your two novellas listed on the intro. This story was posted ten years ago. Any more recent?

Well!  I bet this upset a few people!

Being an Atheist I found it difficult to wade through all this.  Also it amused me that anyone would go to all that effort.  I suppose, whatever turns you on...

I do not know in detail much about the rites and rituals of christians of the roman catholic variety, so whether or not the goings on here were accurate or not is beyind my knowledge.

I do know that the characters mentioned are all mythical constructs, evidence for the actual existence of whom, outside of their own myths, written some years after events were supposed to have taken place, are absent.

The Kabbalah I do know a wee bit about, from my father's side of the family as he was born Jewish although we were not raised in that or any other faith, but i went through a phase of exploring roots, and came across it.  It is mostly concerned with playing about with numbers and trying to discover through mystical means something about them and using them to advantage.   One is better advised IMHO to stick with proper mathematics, which is wondeful enough of itself.

The notions of people going into trances and moving about in time and space extra-corporally, are delusions.  This is therefore a fantasy, and if it serves to cast doubt upon one of the mind viruses that infest mankind to our great detriment in these times of virtual religious warfare, that is all to the good.

I would imagine why before me nobody has commented is because few managed to wade through the whole tale.

I hope the Author feels better having gotten it of their chest.

The importance of reader feedback cannot be overstated.   Authors rely on it to improve their future works, and it gives them the incentive to write more stories if they know that their hard work has been appreciated.  I am not saying that comments must all be lauditory.  Authors often appreciate honest, constructive criticism over simple remarks like 'Great story', although simple praise is appreciated also.  There is no limit on how much you can enter in the 'comments' box.   Sentences will automatically word wrap at the end of the line so please do not use your carriage return/enter key except at the end of your paragraphs.
